Sometimes all you need is a paper and a pen to create some cool sketches! In this video I fill my sketchbook while sharing tips that have helped me create successful sketches! I show you how I draw faces using ballpoint pens and why I love to draw with them! Ballpoint pens are really a great art tool! The cheaper the pen the better. Hello... me and my daughter is a big fan of you, and she have not missed any video of you jessica❤️❤️❤️ she is 12, and really inspired and motivated by your videos and just created an art channel like you, the last weak. 😍she had a number of sketch books. but now she is crying that she have not got any likes for her drawing video 😥. What can l do...she is saying " l am not like jessica and l am not a good artist or anything that is why l l got no subscribers " 😥😥😥😥😥 what will l dobut anyway she is still watching every video of you.

Little boy blue is my favorite color, but, I love the wavy hair of the lady in the top right! You are so fun to watch! Papermate has a line of InkJoy pens that come in lots of colors; they are my favorite for sketching with!

Love the tip about using the side of the pen to achieve lighter marks. I like to sketch with pens from time to time.

I have got back into doodling and sketching because of Covid. Great therapy! I have bought a range of drawing pens as well as fountain pens. Love those. But I find myself going back to my Bic ballpoint a lot. Love that you can shade like a pencil!

There's so much beauty and inspiration in simplicity (meaning the medium not the intricacy of the drawings which is superb). Thank you for the video it reminds me of my dad's pen sketches, my very first inspiration and introduction to art. 😊💕💕

Great video. Ballpoint is a great medium that only a small corner of the art community seems to use, and no one talks about. Keeping a scrap paper nearby is a great tip. I can be used for working out a stroke or, more importantly, blotting your pen so you don't blob ink on your drawing. My favourite ballpoint to use is the Bic Cristal. It has a good ink flow, few skips and I can shade and draw lines that are barely visible to very dark. Pencil and Ballpoint are my two favourite drawing tools. My every day kit is a kneaded eraser, my pencil, a 4-in-1 pen with black, red, green and blue and a 4-in-1 with orange, yellow, purple and pink. These are always in my pocket.

Yes. I used to have a rainbow pen during my childhood😄 In that time, I don't know that it is a really useful thing. Now I'm worrying that I should have used it in a right way. Loved your tips so much. Really useful. Thankyou so much 🥰

That Bic Stic and the Bic Cristal are my fave sketching pens!! They are sooo smooth for a ball point. The cristal 1.6mm is just so fun to draw with that big ball an they come in a pack with a handful of awesome colors! I've seen people make crazy impressive art with just one of these cheap Bic pens.

Ive heard that those bic pens are the best pens for sketching! Pens are great though no matter what, less pressure on yourself to be perfect = better drawings!

Yes!!! I love these pens! They also look really cool if you layer alcohol-based marker on top of them! drawingwiffwaffles has a video on this. I 100% recommend that you check it out!

I've been experimenting with a pencil and a black Flair pen. Talk about unforgiving! But you can use pressure with the pen to lighten and darken, to an extent. This helps a lot to get over the hesitancy many of us artists feel.

I, too, have found that ink seems to be my preferred medium BECAUSE of the 'finality' of the strokes that used to turn me off from experimenting with it. I actually love the feeling and idea of always being locked in with 'moving forward' no matter what you end up with on the paper. Plus I find that I love the b&w (or other two-tone) contrast more than anything. Color confuses and distracts me in creating so much. Dealing with linework primarily + scribble techniques has been such a wonderful time now that I've dove in. I definitely learned to practice things on scratch paper though, when I have a deliberate idea to practice on first.
