Thanks for the tutorial, Iggy. I've always been fascinated by mechs ever since my LEGO days (I'm still a LEGO fanatic.. but I was also one back then, too!) but I could never recreate them without making a giant cardboard with legs!

In regards to mechs I prefer that the 70-30 rule is used as 70% bigger, less intricate parts. Something akin to armor plates or body panels. Then 30% intricate parts like pistons, hinges, wires, and the like. I find this to be a very good rule to help balance the mechs visually.

I think defining mech as just piloted robots is a really thin line cause then you things like gaogaigar and the headmaster which have some non piloted robots and some that are piloted then you have the case to were the robot is alive and pilot has no over control like mazinger zero

Aren't GaoGaiGar *technically piloted tho? Since it's controlled by fusing with the mech, basically piloting it with mind while Gai's body is inside?

@@JarankuUculNyemplungSegara yea but gaogaigar never shown to have cockpit only gaofighgar is and he’s man made, and for gensic gaogaigar when ever we see guy inside he’s not really in a cockpit more of a space

Finally! I found a proper one of these! Funny thing is that I've been doing like half of these with my robots, especially the 30/70 part (noseless, vents, antenna, diverse body designs, etc.)
