I agree! There is not always someone at home to help me. I have messed up 4 new sensor 4s. Not convenient for me. 😢😢

Totally agree. I wasted 4 of those darn things because the pump didn’t sense it after the warmup. While the smart guard is a wonderful thing, the 2 hours it takes to warm up and then it will only last about 5 days on me before it tells me to replace it. Kind of stuck though… insurance and all… good luck with tech support… 😂… you would think they could create a better software or charging system… yeah leave off your cgm for 2 hours so it can completely charge than wait another 2 hours with your pump alarming the whole time as it “warms up” the sensor. Then you have to finger stick to calibrate…. This happened to me once at 2 am…. Very unpleasant…. Wonder how many of the people who created the software and hardware for guardian 4 are actually type 1 diabetics? I would wager none, but hey they got us not like we can get our stuff anywhere else…. mostly because of insurance. 🖤🖤🖤

Medtronic, this isn’t a technical support issue. As a sensor user myself who has tried many different other brands, the Guardian 4 sensor is both shorter term (1 week vs 2 weeks on market) and less user friendly (in the sense of difficulty inserting, requiring additional help, and the complication of multiple stickers. The product is just not well designed or easy to use/insert). Please consider the multiple feedback given and do better.

The only tape that keeps that sensor secure is wound closure strips and skin tac wipes for extra stick. Place the wound strips directly over the sensor, horizontally. All the other plasters are additional and help to keep it more secure. The charging of the transmitter to full takes long and the warm up takes 2 hours once everything is eventually connected, that's impractical. Not my first choice, but my son has to use it with his pump. Hoping for an upgrade and one person application.
