Today I'm giving you a peek at the Rooftop specialty tour at Biltmore Estate, and stick to the end where I'll share 5 tips on how to get discounted specialty tour tickets. I'll also let you know if I think the extra expense of the rooftop tour is worth it!

We just moved to Asheville and are annual pass holders. We love going there for all the different seasons. Plus we can go to as many wine tastings as we like! There’s live music at Antler Village. Lots of bike trails too..My favorite restaurant is the dinning room at the inn, for a special meal. We have thought of doing the roof top tour and your video was very helpful. We will definitely have to give it a go..

These specialty tours are especially great for those who have been multiple times, because you get to see things and hear stories that aren't part of the regular audio tours. It brings new life to the experience :)

We need to head here as a homeschool history lesson. Built in workout too with all the stairs! This house is magnificent.

Yes! this is a great history field trip spot! You can add in literature too by reading Seraphina and the Black Cloak. It's about a servant girl that lives and works at Biltmore Estates. It's fictional, but the author adds in a bunch of true facts and also mentions the secret tunnels. It brings the house to life for kids and makes it more interesting for them when they get there. The first time I took my kids we listened to the audio book in the car on the way. I enjoyed it too ;)

I am an annual pass holder and just went on May 7th 2021 I have been six times before this and it's still an amazing place I love the Biltmore can't wait to go back again.

The guided tours are definitely not worth the money!

Like everything else, it's all subjective. I've taken the roof top tour twice and plan on taking it again. I've done the back stairs tour and carriage ride tours and the things I got to see and info I learned that isn't shared in the regular admission price was worth every penny to me. I am a season pass holder, so I did get discounts, but even if it was full price I would have thought it was worth it. Perhaps you can share why it wasn't worth it to you so those who are reading comments can make a better informed decision on weather or not guided tours would be something they would value or not.
