I think a few errors and omissions? What about a buddy who knows about blow tap talk. That would be tip 1 from me. Using weight is not how I have been taught static as AIDA coach? Better to be on the surface floating with a buddy who helps make sure you don’t have LMC / BO and knows about blow tap talk etc. Signals? Communication?

@@3llo0the process of holding your breath is just storing air in your lungs. While you’re in the water, the air stored in your longs will make you float back up, which also explains why you can sink when you are not holding your breath.

On land I can hold about 2m and 45s. But under water, I only go 35 seconds so far. i’m not an expert but I might have something to do with my nervous system, even though I know I’m not in danger, but my brain ignores that and my heart beats faster. Or other things, but the difference between 2m and 45s and 35s is absurd.

Neck weight is the worst idea ever!! I recommend not using it and using waist weights!!
@gertleroy
@gertleroy 27 күн бұрын
it depends for what purpose. for static breathholding just messing around in a pool it doesn't offer added value over a conventional weight belt. however for other disciplines like advanced deep diving it offers value because of the point of gravity being shifted towards your head which makes you go down in a straight line, like an arrow. even for video sessions in a pool doing fun stuff I'd prefer a neck weight because the most buoyant part of your body on full lungs is your torso, and the heaviest are your legs.
