Thanks very much for your videos. I am retired and just started Sim Racing a year ago and love it. I have spent the past year practicing every day for at least 2 hours and searching for every bit of info on KZfaq trying to fast track getting to learn about this complicated sport and work on being able to get to be the best that I can for getting started so late in life. I just wanted to tell you that I have watched a ton of videos now by many many people and yours are by far the best and most informative along with being entertaining due to your personality and dry humor tossed in once in a while. I know that you have just recently started making these videos and I see that there are 560 subscribers as of today but please give it time for racers to find your channel and I guarantee your views and subs will grow to the tens of thousands. Every person that mentions castor that I have watched says one thing only "DONT TOUCH IT". But after your explanation in a Dif video I now can't wait to experiment with different castor settings and see for myself what the effects will be. Hope you dont get discouraged with these early view numbers and keep the great content coming and I know it will pay off for you in the near future. Thanks again for what you have already given us. I know its long but I just wanted to let you know you are appreciated.

Wow!!! Thank you for taking the time to write all those amazing compliments! I’m glad your enjoying the videos! So far I’m really enjoying making them. Yeah it was very slow the first couple months but it just took off a last week getting 500 subscribers in 8 days. So I’m very excited. If there is any video you would like me to make please let me know. I’m open to all ideas as it’s always difficult to come up with new ideas and I don’t really know what people want to see. Thanks again. These types of compliments are what really keeps me going :)

Very nice of you to ask Kevin. For me the thing I would most like to learn about if the effect that the settings on the Mechanical page and the Tyre page actually have on the car. The way you explained Caster by using the diagram of a go-cart really made things clear for that setting and I now understand what will happen when making changes to it. I have made charts with quick fixes for lots of things ie: To correct oversteer you can stiffen the front springs or decrease toe out so I will use the chart blindly trying Dif things but never really understanding exactly what the change made to the car is really causing the car to do. Doing anything blindly doesn't allow you to grow much and I am mostly just taking shots in the dark and keeping my fingers crossed. I know all beginners would appreciate videos on this topic and I'm pretty sure many advanced sim racers would too because I notice most people that do sim racing content seem to steer clear of the subject. And I dont expect you to be an expert on every setting but I can tell from your experience in real world racing that you know enough to explain why someone would make most of these adjustments. Also, speaking of your real world racing I am positive that others would love to hear about some stories from that time tossed in whenever a memory bell goes off about all the big and small things you have to deal with trying to keep a real race car performing. For instance, during your LFM race at Indianapolis you mentioned that you blew the engine up in your car. I know that while you are in a live race is not the time to be going into detail about much of anything but I have really wondered just what happened to the motor and why it happened and what the insane cost must be to put the car back on the track. Most of us never have and never will come close to driving a real race car so you would be pretty surprised I think to know how much we respect that you did and how much we would like to live vicariously as much as possible though the stories of guys like you. See this is what happens when you ask me a question!!! Now you will know better next time. haaaaaaaa. Thanks again for hearing my thoughts on it Kevin and only do what you think is best for your channel. We all have opinions out here so I am fine if you dont think any of this is the way you want to go. Since I know you are in Canada I will share that I am in Delaware, 2nd smallest state after Rhode Island. I think people always like to know where the person they are talking to lives, I know I am always curious about it. I will see you in your videos my friend.

@@frankstevenson3969 ok I’ll never ask you a question again… lol 😂 just kidding! Yes I definitely can do that for you I don’t know when but hopefully in the next 4 weeks. I’m working on a couple other videos right now. But I will put it on my list. Thank you again for the interest it really motivates me.

I forgot to mention, if you do decide to do some videos on the settings I think just a couple of settings at at time would work best for you and for us. You would be able to knock out a 5 to 8 min video each week or so and just call it a series. That would keep you from having to rack your brain tying to come up with new ideas for a little while and we would could take time to digest the advice and put it into practice and not be overwhelmed with information overload.

Very good tips and you are right. I started ACC 3 months ago, picked up the Ferrari because I'm a fan. For now I race only on Monza and Imola and focus on Monza for most of the time. I was very slow but improved from 1.57 to 1.52 and I know where I need to improve. In the last 2 weeks watching KZfaqrs like you I got also some knowledge about car setup. As an advice for other beginers like me, don't focus on car setup but instean on learning the track, fast lines, braking points, which gear and speed for each turn. Preset safe and agressive setups are a very good starting points. With the knowledge from KZfaq combined with learning the track then the setup can be tweaked here and there in small steps. And practice, practice, practice.

It's good to find someone that uses the same 2 cars I do. I used the McLaren for 3 years, then bought the Ferrari about a week ago. I found setups and suggestions that work on front-engine cars don't always translate to mid-engine.

A new subsriber here, firstable i think your chanel is going to grow up fast. Just for the future I´m here with 690 subs. I like the way you talk (Im spanisth) it's crystal clear. For a next video i would like a comparation betwen cell brake pedals and the others(dont know the word in english) I dont have a DD base, I have the T248, but i think a bigger improvment will be cell pedals. (apoligize for my english mistakes) Keep the quality in your last videos and the ACC content
