I really want to like the new OEM's but I am having a lot of trouble adjusting to them. Id like to see someone go more in depth with their settings for what they're using. That way I, and maybe other players could have a base to build off. Right now I just feel lost in the game and I find the factory bikes are the only things I can use at the moment and enjoy.

Needed to hear this Doc thank you. I was so frustrated, felt like my inputs had a delay and the bikes were boats that couldn’t turn, I’ll keep grinding!

Honestly, I could never figure the old OEMs out, I come from racing my whole life and tried applying realistic knowledge to those OEMs and I got nowhere fast. These new preview bikes I almost instantaneously felt better and was putting down better lap times. The old OEMs it was better to not use the rider lean at all, as it would work against you and cause you to crash. So I like that I can now use the rider lean and it not hurt me, I think they are finally on to something with these new bikes. The people that don't like them are the ones that learned the old OEMs and where the faster ones on them and now that I think they are more realistic and go against what you had to teach your muscle memory from the old ones, they immediately don't like them cause they are now not fast and have to learn all over again even tho this time there is more realism put into the design and build of the new updated bikes. I think it's a big win honestly and everyone will see that as soon as they start understanding how to ride them.

I find im alot more constant now, and they are much smoother. As a rider that stays as balanced and neutral as i can on them, and only usually use rider lean to scrub really. i can kinda get into a cruse mode now and relax vs having to be way way more focused on keeping the front end from tucking or other weird things from happening. I can ride more naturally of how i personally like to ride.

On the slow speed topic, I think the bike feels a lot more snappy which takes getting used to. Great video Doc.

It’s good to see people in comments agreeing that they didn’t like the bikes ether then started to. I have like 600 hours in game over last 6 months and I played an hour after oems came out and haven’t touched the game since. Didn’t like them at all and never been a fan on the factory bikes ether. Completely turned away from the game rn. Hopefully the new oems grow on me if I start playing again. First game I’ve ever played where the physics of the game completely change.

I have found in my short sample of testing that I actually lowered my rider lean to about 85% and bumped direct lean up to 90% has helped me a bit. My biggest problem is oversteering on these bikes and it seems to help me a bit, but you definitely have to think more throughout the entire corner imo.

I feel like these new bikes are definitely more rewarding for irl riders that have raced and understand how a dirt bike really works and I think it transfers a lot to these new bikes

I also hated them off rip because they felt so much different than the preview bikes and I wrote in the mxb discord how I felt they were just as bad as the old eoms but after putting another 3 hours into them I ate my words so fast. These bikes really giving me some heavy nostalgia from my 2019 days where I felt like I was one with the bikes and I’m having so much fun playing the game again.

100% after a couple hour the new oem's are innnnnnnsane

I feel like steering is supremely sensitive now. You have to be really smooth and over steering is just not going to work out anymore.

Gettin started at a slow speed, the physics are complete trash. It will do the most unnatural movements. How can this be fixed? Or is it just the game? Your setting videos do help

To go more in depth, trail braking is braking into the turn, being heaviest on the brakes when your wheel is most open, and gradually braking less the more your turn angle increases so that you are completely off by the time you reach the apex. The same procedure reversed works well for the throttle after the apex

I know your on the OEM team and all but.. Insinuating that the factory bikes are for casuals is wild and very misinformative. They actually require throttle control for one, the new OEM's have infinite traction, 100 rear tire on 450 very very usable, which says a lot. You say you're against dividing the community, then maybe don't place one bike above the other as the "bike for pro's"

Come on Doc. Let’s face it the default suspension settings are screwed. The Sag is million miles out and spring rates. Wtf are they doing? It must be a nightmare for guys who don’t know how to set up a bike with correct sag and understand how to adjust clickers and what they do, how they affect the suspension travel. I’ve got a base setting for all bikes now with drastic spring rate changes and geometry changes as well as shock adjustments. Got a consistent sag of 60 front 105 rear now and suspension working ok. The eleven 10 bikes are much better setup out the box.
