As someone who goes on a lot of camping and hiking trips, I often wander off into the woods on my own to enjoy the peaceful silence and the absence of others, but that doesn’t always mean that I’m completely alone out there.

Everytime I sneak into the woods I go looking for a deer carcass! First I make sure it's possessed by a WENDIGO and only then do I start impregnating it! 🤫 I've already sired plenty of demon babies my lad so I'm currently training them for that FATEFUL DAY! when we'll take over the world 😈😈

I go out into the woods all the time too. But I’ve never ever run into anything cryptid or supernatural like. I’ve been out in the woods for weeks at a time on my own and never run into anything strange. Maybe I’m just lucky but I love listening to these stories

Darkness prevails, I've been home for 3 weeks due to health issues, I'm using a cane to walk these days, since I have some leg wounds from a bacteria infection. I hopefully don't want to lose my current job, but aside from all that?? I'm glad that I get to listen to you tell amazing stories thru this healing period. Thank you Darkness, I definitely love this channel, and always love hearing your voice. And the integrity you have delivering these stories.

The hatman story really messed me up. I've seen him multiple times. When I was younger, before getting with my now husband, I was with an abusive man. The hat man was around basically 24/7 while I was with him. Once I got with my husband he stayed around for the first 6 months-ish, then when him and I took a break early on in our relationship he showed up again. Since getting back with my husband I haven't seen him since. I don't know much about him either, but his presence gave off a weird feeling, a mixture of anger, intimidation and protection. I never knew if I should be scared of him or thankful for him.

The neighborhood I grew up in had a strip of woodland behind the row of houses. As kids we would frequent those woods ignorant of the odious creatures that called them home. One day as the neighbor boy was paying, we heard a horrific scram and saw him tearing through the woods, tears streaming from his eyes. As he approached, we could smell the unmistakable, eye-burning stench. Behind him, a mass of black and white with 6 yellow eyes glaring at us. He had crossed paths with ... a family of skunks. 🦨🦨🦨

NY state 100% has some super natural beings. I was outside of my house one night after working on a project motorcycle of mine. As I was walking away from my garage I could hear something moving around behind me in some brush. Assuming it was a rabbit I wander over and when I’m about 10 feet away I just hear something large trample some tin roofing that was on the ground and run into the woods. I was scared initially because of how quick and sudden it was, but then just choked it up to an animal I had spooked. A few weeks pass and a friend of mine had helped me pick up a truck I purchased. Once we got back to my house he hopped in the shower and I went back outside to take some very redneck bumper stickers off of said truck. While I was peeling away at them for about 5 or 6 minutes I hear my friend very distinctly call my name but I couldn’t pinpoint where it had come from. I stared around for a while and didn’t see him so I figured he was just messing with me and ignored him. Once I was done peeling off the stickers I met back up with him inside and asked “did you call my name earlier” to which he looked very puzzled and said “no, what do you mean?” I explained what had happened and he swore up and down it wasn’t him. His reactions seemed genuine and I could tell it wasn’t a prank. I have no idea what could’ve caused this but I no longer enjoy being outside after dark when I’m home. I always feel as if something is watching me. My house is surrounded by about 5 miles of woods as i live in the heart of upstate. They’ve always had a harsh, unwelcoming feeling to them.

Definitely did not invite it. She was already seeing it before then. Things can come & go from our lives as they please whether or not we "invite" them. I also don't believe the story, or rather the objects flying around etc. it doesn't seem very realistic. Edit: to add more

Okay, so funny thing is, that is me who wrote that 4 years ago. I ruled out a black bear because I have never seen one in my neighborhood before. I’ve seen deer, coyotes, skunk, and pretty much everything else. The only one I’ve seen was by my cousin’s house which is about 10 minutes away and not connected

Okay so, I am a zhritsa...and I have at least some insight. The hat man is a shade, and shades, fundamentally, are not evil beings. Instead they have two purposes. The first is to absorb negative energy to 'clean it up' and the second is to act as an omen. I have seen shades standing over me in the night before every major event of my life, good or bad. In this particular case, I'd conclude the hat man was indeed an omen, but did not cause that man's death.

I have to disagree with what they said in the first story. We don't have actual wolves here but we do have wolf hybrids that tend to be between 50 and even 99% wolf but there are no known full blooded wolves here.

Been a minute since I last listened to one of these "true" horror stories, and im now reminded why lol. These stories are a bit too try hard. Your narratoring is S tier, but these people that submit these stories try too hard to be these tragic heroes with no real proof, heck some of these people make stupid mistakes like camping alone at 1 am, or walking the streets alone on Halloween night. Just sounds too try hard. Thats why I migrated to creepypastas. Sure they're fake, but I know they're fake, so are movies. The mc's in creepypasta's don't paint themselves as heroes and they do experience true fear and sometimes there's death which adds to the creepy factor

People are allowed to submit multiple stories. And no, Moni B Good did not have another boyfriend who died in their previous story - You can listen to it in the episode just before this one actually. That story is called "The Swaying Man".

You know Ron DeSantis and freinds seem to be overtaking your channel with their ads besides many others. You tubers should do something about that. Maybe specify no political ads. Product ads would be different. Just thought you might like to know.

Really do enjoy the stories but no offense to the narrator but these kind of stories aren't giving the vibe it's suppose to. New narrator please

I can't understand the whole "threw up out of fear" thing ... i personally don't get crying due to fear either... but at least it makes sense (kinda). Guess I deal with fear a lot differently than most people

Me neither, but just because it doesn't happen to me. Some people lose bowel or bladder control from fear, some freeze, some have crazy adrenaline surges and go into attack mode. People react to fear in bizarre and sometimes irritating or disgusting ways. The only time I've ever cried from fear was on the phone with 911 while my then 3-year-old was ink blue and convulsing in my arms.

@@froginprogress8510 ngl I'm one of those who go into fight mode when scared. Like pure animalistic rage... seeing red and all that. Granted I've learned to control it better now. Well at least I don't just swing at people over a jump scare like I did as a teen. Crying over a child like I said before at least makes sense. I've seen people soil themselves over fear... but the whole vomiting thing seems so counter productive. Like losing control of their bladder comes from shock. But for it to illicit a full gag reflex and causing vomiting seems like it would only get you killed in a bad situation... like freezing up. At least peeing on yourself doesn't stop you from your fight or flight response... but heaving vomiting and freezing up are all a death sentence if a predator is what scared you. That's why I don't understand it. It's like your body is trying to get you killed. But of course somehow all these so called predators never actually attack in these stories... which makes them seem like children's scary stories... cause why be scared at all... it's only gonna leave or vanish. If anyone believes in these monsters and hears these stories if they ever met one they'd probably throw up and close their eyes... or cover their heads with a blanket like when they were 5 scared of the boogeyman... and they'll be safe. Bur a real predator isn't gonna go away cause you can't see it. Btw I hope your child was ok. I haven't had anything that terrifying happen with my kids so far (luckily) and hopefully I never do. Cause if something like that happened I'd probably lose my mind and end up dead or in prison or both

@@Pr0digyZRX many years ago, in my teen years, I'm now nearing 50, I had an experience of fear that overwhelmed me so much, that after the initial adrenaline rush subdued, I vomited, I had no control of it, it was just the way my body reacted to the situation.

Idk what happened to this channel but every story sounds like the same person wrote them, same cliche wording, like some 15 year old who watches too many horror stories, or darkness himself ran out of content & had to make them up to keep the channel going. Literally none of these sound legit at all. & the fact that every one involving a skinwalker describes them the same way, & confuses the features of wendigis & skin walkers, (further convincing me that it’s all bs) is just disrespectful to indigenous culture, & lame af. Unsubscribing. Idk how anyone listens to these there are far better channels out there with actual “true” (or more believable at the very least) stories.

That’s cool and all, but given that the last story is mine and happened to me back in 2017, give 17 year old me some slack. Running around in the woods alone looking for your dog and then being followed by some big animal which essentially yells at you is spooky to me. And true to my word, I haven’t been back in those woods since.
