@@imaloserbaby I'm sorry if that's the experience you had. I've have always found Adana very warm and inviting, I've never been harassed or bothered at all. Adana is quite modern and liberal compared to other cities in Turkey. Did you visit Adana yourself or are you just going off things you've heard about it?

I found Istanbul to be a bit overrated. Mexico City is underrated. Almost no one talks about it. I went there a few months ago and was surprised at how nice it was! Better than many cities in the USA.

I'm Asian American and always stop off in Istanbul on my way to Asia each year. Some of my favorite food and the locals are always nice and sweet. The city is so incredible too, tons to explore.

@@Schwpto Put it this way - if both you and I show up at the border, I am getting in the American lane and you're going to wait 3 hours in the foreign lane. The White Americans will let me come back to my home no problem, but they'll deport you back to Turkey if you try to over stay.

Istanbul was the first place I visited after travel restrictions …..the way they cook lamb is the best… one of my favourite places for food along with Tokyo, Barcelona and Tuscany

I tried the Macedonian version of "Sütas" and it tastes nothing like the one in Turkey. It's lacking the sourness and saltiness of the original. I was so happy to see it here in Switzerland in a shop so I bought it but got disappointed, too much expected probably.

Just got back from an amazing holiday in Turkey. It is as wonderful as you see in the videos! The food, the culture, mosques and the historical sites are simply the best. I would definitely go back there! I tried all the foods you mentioned and they were all good.

@@khagan5951 I don't need to go 100 years back if you want. 1955 Istanbul, 1974 Cyprus, current attacks on Kurds in Northern Syria/Iraq, helping Azerbaijan in their war against Armenia. I can give you more examples if you want? There are several more attacks related to Alevi Turks.

I havent been to turkey but the turkish food I ate in oman from a turkish restaurant near my house when I lived there was so delicious its my 2nd favorite food, indian food is #1 for me
