If an archer misses the mark he needs to be closer to the target. If a christian misses the mark he needs to be closer to Jesus. I was taught that all sin was the same, but it was hard to see lying being equal to murder. When I became a father and had children I understood this teaching better and that sin was a product of rebellion. I could forgive both sin (missing the mark), but not rebellion (shooting at the wrong target) had to have repentance and confession. Thank you for your teaching. Specially the different Greek meanings for sin.

Ive always thought that all sin was the same in Gods eyes and any sin would keep us out of heaven. This is the first time I have ever heard different from a christian. I will study this and keep an open mind while I do. I told my children that all sin is the same in Gods eyes, and that is why we need Jesus. Please pray for me and my children to learn the truth in this.

I think people wrongly accept that all sin is the same because they are actually referring to Gods ability to forgive all sin. Which is a entirely different thing.

Jesus said; ‘’he who handed me over has committed a even ‘greater’ sin!”(John 19:13).

Sin is sin and sin separates us from God and that’s why people say all sin is the same because all sin separates us from God.

I would hope that if indeed you committed adultery, your wife would be forgiving. The marriage could be put back together. God has the power to heal the marriage, to erase the sin…He has and He does…. Praise God, Jesus died for ALL our sins, past , present and future, so that if we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour we are born anew and ALL sins are put in the sea of forgetfulness. God then sees us as Righteous, God does, we don’t see ourselves as such…God does.. I do pray that those who are reading this understand, …..we have a merciful, gracious, forgiving God…Amen 🙏🏼

Good as usual! And you're right. TOO MANY pastors REALLY dont know what the Bible says & fewer still have even the vaguest idea what it means. But that doesnt stop them from giving mind-numbing filibusters Sunday after Sunday on some trivial point everybody understood when they were five. I could tell there might be some difficulties for some to follow you in that prayer. Others might need some kind of a pause to reflect & digest the words of that prayer. I have to say that this sermon is just so mind blowing and very over whelming. I have to say that I have done a lot of bad and evil things. I will not tell you about my childhood when I was five years old. I will tell you this. For me GOD has guided me to join the Marine corps. I was surprised that I made in through boot camp. The other most amazing thing is GOD did not let me have to kill anyone. As a Marine you are train to kill. The point of my story is, that GOD guided me all of the way. Now I do have to add this. I have cheated on my wife. Now I am without my family. But I will tell you this that it is really not without hope. I realize how stupid I was and yet GOD still watched over me. Because I did not blame GOD. I blame myself. But the one thing I want people and Christian to understand. We are all going to make mistakes and GOD know this. I have been divorce and lost my family, but I am good, because GOD still watches over me. The other most amazing thing is GOD HAD SENT ME TO Allen Nolan. I have been listening to him ever since. When jesus talked about tithe it was about old covenent and ten commandments but through his death and resurrection we are under new covenent. Whatever we give it should be given whole heartedly not one tenth.

I was taught that all sin is the worst sin. The smallest sin complicates your life causing you to deliberately sin in a desperate attempt to correct the situation anyway possible. It goes from the smallest leading you to the worst. I can look back in my life and see that chain. Thank you Jesus for your forgiveness because I am the worst sinner regardless of how we explain the process of getting to the worst sin. I really don't believe I have ever known someone who just woke up one morning and did the worst thing they could do without other lesser sins having been committed first to lead them to that day's choices. I have been in situations where lesser sins were committed and it is hard ( can be done) to back away from choosing the next bigger sin. I then believe both things are true. All sin is the worst but not all sin is the same. You can just break down the process or look at it in it's entirety.

Great teaching! I would differ on Jesus taught tithing. In context He was speaking to Jews who lived under the law. Tithe means 10th and was required but not anymore now than the other ...some 613 laws. Today God loves a cheerful giver! If a 10th causes financial stress irs not cheerful. Paul has a wonderful teaching in 2 Corinthians 8 on NT giving. The first tithe was not even from income but spoils if war. Anyway, I know it's hard on some salaried pastors, but a 10th was nailed to the cross in favor of freedom in Christ.

What if they ask for forgiveness. My son was murdered in 2006 when he was 21. If the shooter asks God for forgiveness, will he be forgiven. I would also like to say, I have been able to forgive the 19 year old man I sat across from for a week in trial. I felt sadness for his mother and grandmother. I cried when I saw his grandmother breakdown as if I could feel her pain. What death will he be punished with?

Why do so many fail to see that the STATE of Israel is NOT the NATION of Israel that God commands us to bless? Did he say to bless the Jews? Or did he say to bless Israel? And did he say “give them money“? Or did he have something else in mind? He had something else in mind. The biggest trick that Judah has played on the world is convincing them that the word Jew is synonymous with “Israel“. It is not. They are one tribe. One. “Blessing them”… Does not mean “agree with everything they do politically as a state”. Especially when many are secular and Jews in rote only. Jesus himself had a name for them, and he also said “you who say you are Jews, and are not“. The Bible differentiates, but surprisingly few Christians do. Jesus even clarified what God does and does not consider to be a Jew in his eyes, but again, they are still not synonymous with the nation of Israel, even when they fit the definition. So let’s not mix up what Israel actually means. Bless the ***nation***, the descendants of ALL the tribes… ALL the tribes… ALL the tribes…of Israel. The people. Not someone who has basically usurped a space. Pray for *peace* of Jerusalem, yes, but be sure what all that entails as well. That’s different from blessing the actual nation of people worldwide as well. Nowhere does it mean “ignore the rest of the nation of Israel, like they all fell off the face of the earth”. Has anyone even considered the fact that some of their “enemies“ might actually be true descendants of the ***nation*** of Israel, and so they should butt out of things if they are not sure about it? Even IF the entire political STATE of Israel was chock-full of God-honoring Jews, (in action, not just in traditions and name), that STILL would only represent 1/12 of the NATION of Israel. God is going to ask why everyone pretended the others didn’t even exist, because most preachers and everyday Christians do just that. If you want to “bless“ them, teach them who their Messiah is. It has nothing to do with helping them drop bombs or finance individual people in their own personal endeavors, who may or may not actually be who they claim to be. Want to bless the TRUE Israel? Teach the world about their Messiah. You may actually be addressing true Israeli descendants. And there’s no better way to bless them than that.
