Nigward Spongegar 3 pin plugs like here in the UK are very safe in comparison. Very difficult to shock yourself. Lots of videos on KZfaq going into further detail :)

Yeah. Cheap tile at that. At $15, that's probably 500% markup over cost even if you include the cost of having the packaging printed and the labor for boxing it.

The Tug is actually really brilliantly simple but useful (especially since macbooks have removed their magsafe -_-) . I'd imagine it'd be peftect for like study space or meetings where everyone brings their laptop but are also moving around.

oh yea, i guess that might be a problem if you use the Macbook brick without the extended 3 prong.

@@bazzers as long as the outlet side is recessed and you check the plug side before snapping it on, you should be fine. I would be concerned with running a whole lot of voltage through it though, especially something like a AC or Space Heater, might be a fire hazard.

The side with the little prongs? That side is on the side of your appliance so it won't have power when it's not plugged in (just like an unplugged appliance would have their prongs exposed). The side that stays in the wall socket is recessed, so it's sorta like a standard outlet albeit shallower.

Favorite thing about the fill it is if it fits a portable SSD or hard drive. When you're traveling in a plain, or in a car, being able to throw that sucker in there and keep it moving, not worrying about picking up your laptop and it snapping off. Way nicer than the strip of gaff tape I use now when needed!

The first magnetic plug adapter looks a bit sketchy. They will have a really hard time getting certified because the live metal contacts look like they are very shallow from the the opening (which can very easily shock you). Also doesn't look like the prongs can handle much current either, might be okay for charging your phone not much more. Check out the *VoltSafe Home* for a much safer, smarter (and sexier) magnetic plug adapter that does this and a whole lot more.
