If you look closely, periodic table actually have Uranium and Thorium inside. ( Due to their low activity in small amounts and the fact that thoriumand uranium 238 are very easy to get.

I don't get that, as some non-radioactive elements are more toxic than some of the radioactive ones. And past U- 92 , they are all synthetic, i.e. Not really elements IMO , and arguably there are only about 90 that exist naturally IIRC.

I have a similar thing with a floating model of the moon. (I assume it's the same producer as it looks very alike.) Unfortunately it's not poorly manufactured, e.g. the base is not square and one edge is cracked.

@funnyfish1982 uranium isn't really that radioactive compared to other things. In fact, in the US you can keep a surprisingly large amount of raw/ore without a license. (I was curious so I looked it up) "The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission allows for the sale and transportation of uranium to the public if certain conditions are met; the most pressing of which deals with the maximum allowable quantity any one person may own (7kg)." Now I just imagine a middleschool or high-schooler trying to argue this so they can use it for a school project lmao

I owned the exact model he's using in the video and the bottom diaphragm is loosely secured to the shaft so lighting a candle under it will cause it to break after about 10 minutes of run time. He's doing an affiliate market schtick, don't buy this model it's cheaply made

@@matthewcaines9176 okay. The thing is the story of Hassium discovery. The first few atoms of this element were actually lost, as no one thought it would be able to fly away like a gas. So, as for original comment, it looks like "Wasn't it actually filled with something? Ah, nevermind"
