experts say taking an Epsom salt is a natural, at-home remedy. Here’s what you do:
Add 2 cups of Epsom salt to the water in a standard-sized bathtub (double the Epsom salt for an oversized garden tub).
Soak for at least 12 minutes
The Epsom salt will dissolve quicker if you put it under the running water.
Note: For human use, the Epsom Salt Council recommends only Epsom salt with the USP designation.
Epsom salt is different from traditional salt in that it’s actually a mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate, and is technically known as magnesium sulfate.

About OFF GRID with DOUG and STACY:
We moved to our 11 acres in 2011 from a large city in the Midwest with zero carpentry and farming skills. We live with no solar / wind power / public water or well. We share our adventure to a sustainable life, growing our own food from vegetables to meat. We post videos DAILY and they range from HOW TO to EVERYDAY LIFE and NUTRITION on the off grid homestead. We were city folks just like you probably and wanted to enjoy life and have more control over our food. We share food recipes as well as natural remedies.

I agree. Rockefellers are evil and in league with UN's Agenda 21 and Agenda 20/30 written 1995. They plan to depopulate and control the world...NWO. Natural remedies are the way to go. If you need a surgeon for any reason.. do a background check. Just saying....things are not always as they seem.

My parents both took epsom salts every day. They would wet their finger, dip it in the epsom salt, lick it off their finger, then drink a bunch of water. It completely reversed their arthritis, and resolved a bone spur for my mom. They told our neighbor, whose hands had become almost unusable, and in about three months, she was bowling again! Miraculous stuff!!

My Granny was a nurse way back when (1940's - 1970's) and they used Epsom salt baths, soaks and compresses for all kinds of aches and pains. She told me ages ago the "correct" way to take an Epsom salt bath is to run the water as warm as you can stand it and to soak til the water cools til its lukewarm. She said most people didnt soak long enough for the Epsom salt to do its job properly.

It's funny how you forget these things when you have no one to care for at home anymore. I work like a horse and am 68 and Epsom salts foot soak is the only thing keeping me working. Besides dark rum. My Dad was a firefighter for 42 years and when our enormous beautiful wooden hotel on Belvedere Heights burned- it was like Lake Louise burning- it burned for 3 days and I can see my Dad sitting slumped in his chair- his firemans coat and his hair smoking and his hands hanging down in utter exhaustion and my Grandma made up the epson salts soak in those square aluminum wash tubs and my mom taking off his burned and smoking boots - and he went back. and when he died, his brain tumors had him living in 2 times. I was taking off his slippers when he said " Look at that Kitten , you've just got my boots off and Belvedere is burning". I was 3 when it burned.

*Amazing Magnesium Baths:* The ratio I was taught is: 1/2 cp for each 50 lbs of body weight (ie 225 lbs = 2.5 cps). Helps relax/sleep/detox & so much more. Soak for 30-40 minutes. The first 20 minutes pulls out toxins while the next 20 allows the body to absorb the minerals... • Children under 60 lbs: ½ cup • Individuals between 60-100 lbs: 1 cup • Individuals between 100-150 lbs: 1½ cups • Individuals between 150-200 lbs: 2 cups • For every 50lbs more - add an additional ½ cup of salts. _*My friends daughter was taken to the ER after a massive 2" sliver deep into her heal. A clever doc sent her home to bathe/soak her child's foot daily. It would work it's way out rather than the ER digging painfully to remove it he said. It worked and no digging._

All conventional medicine doctors do is give you a bucket load of pharmaceuticals because that's the conventional education they get because of BIG PHARM.....MOST DOCTORS rate poorly when it comes to nutritional treatment and natural treatments...I am 72 years young and still working 💪.....People need to educate themselves these days as much as possible on more natural resources rather than just blindly believing everything a doctor tells them.

Thank you for letting folks know about magnesium. I have ra and fibromyalgia. One of my nurses and I got into a conversation about bit Vitamin D, magnesium and zinc. I started using supplements and epsom salt baths. It is not a magic cure for my issues but it helps so much, my muscle spasms have been more helped by this than all the medications I’ve been on. I love watching your videos- I cannot live my off grid dreams right now - but I learn a lot from you two. Best wishes. Also I’m so sorry about faith. My dog is so much of my life. She is almost 14. Not looking forward to that time. All my best prayers to you.

Hiya. I had FM for 30yrs. Started taking VIT B complex with Evening meal and VIT B12 on empty stomach (2x1000mg) per day. Must have Both. This restores your red blood cell production (tests don't work, they're bogus). This gets oxygen to all your peripherals . You'll detox heavily to start and sleep like a cat but this is the only way, i tried em all. After 6 month im 70% recovered. Good look and Keep goin!

if you have fibromyalgia, you may consider quaifenason. it is supposed to eliminate phosphates when using the bathroom that otherwise stay in the body. my frinds wife suffered from it and what a difference it made. I was getting ghost pains that flaired up for no reason in different places. arms, legs. I took quaifenason tablets and it worked. I dont know where you would get them. beware of ingredient blue lake yellow or blue aluminum that may be in some brands. Health food store probably best

I love Lehman’s country store in Kidron, Ohio - Amish country! It has everything! For folks that do canning, gardening, looking for gardening supplies, implements that are better quality. It has everything! I remember buying wood carved toys for the kids when they were toddlers. Been a while since I‘ve been there, but you folks, especially into gadgets, will love the place. Plenty of parking. Restaurants in the area too. I always used to set aside a couple of hours just to wander and browse.

A cup or two epsom salt in the bath is great for relaxing and for general magnesium maintenance, but if you're sick or have some sort of disease, you should really load up on the epsom salt. It's cheap anyway. I'm talking 5 - 10 pounds. For example, soaking in 10 pounds of epsom salt will even calm the shakes of parkinsons disease.

Being a homestead-homey kind of person, it seems unbelievable, but I never knew all this stuff about epsom salt, I never even knew it was magnesium sulfate. I just thought it was something old folks took a bath in when they got constipated! So...since I watched this a couple of weeks ago, I've been soaking my feet in it and then dumping the soak water on my non-edible plants. (They don't smell like feet yet!) My heels are nice and soft, and some of my wilty, yellowy plants look so much perkier and greener!

Actually, epsom salt is really a salt. It's not table salt but in chemistry a salt is formed by combining an acid and a base. So magnesium sulfate is a salt because sulfur is an acid and magnesium is a base.

the magnesium in Epsom salt cause the fluid in the tissue to move back into the blood which reduces inflammation in joints and reduces edema hench it decreases pain. my ortho doctor agrees he asked how I knew that I said well as a kid stepping on glass outside soak in Epsom salt or sprain an ankle soak in Epsom my grandmother always did it so why would I doubt grandma lol. plus magnesium is a trace mineral in our body that is not typically checked by doctors. another thing Epsom salt is great for is treating psoriasis topically it help exfoliate but also because of the over production of skin cells the is inflammation of the skin cells by reducing the size of skin cells there is less surface space the scalling to develop on. another thing used use to be quinine it was taken off the prescription market but it is tonic water this is used for muscle cramps and osteoporosis pain. my other grandmother was prescribed this by an actual MD. she drink a couple shot glasses a day.

Doug and Stacy you are awesome for sharing your insights on resources. Magnesium Sulfate is a good Salt to use in Aquariums to help fish fight diseases, it promotes the Mucus layer that prevents cell stress. The mucus of a fish provides physical protection by trapping pathogens (microorganisms that cause disease). When the old mucus layer containing the pathogens is shed and replaced by new mucus, the pathogens are lost. Antibodies, antimicrobial peptides, and enzymes in the mucus actively attack pathogens.

Stacy, we have a bunch in common. I learned so, so much when I first began learning natural ways back in 2004! I get off track sometimes and now it's time to get back on track, so hearing the things you have learned and mention is a good refresh of my memory banks with all that natural health knowledge I acquired way back when. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your honesty and sharing knowledge with others... You are a gift!! When I used to try to teach others what I learned that long ago, I hit a brick wall, people used to argue and fight with me about the info, and I gave up and walked away. It's great that it is finally coming around again and people are more open to learning the natural ways to live and take care of themselves!! Too bad I didn't stick with it and turn it all into a KZfaq Channel... I would be a a million subscribers. HA HA!
