This was a really good video overall and mostly well done. Imho I think you presented it backwards though.... Imo it would have been better to present that there are nearly infinite clues at the beginning, then narrow it down to the basic ones you can make use of right away on the path to understanding the others as you gain more experience.

Thanks for the comment! The order I made it in was an "artistic" choice. I was going to make simple points first that led up to the "climax" or main point of the video at the end. Not sure if that worked or not, but I'm mostly satisfied if the points of the video were communicated clearly. 👍

Excellent; I was curious about your suggestion about waiting to strike the ball after the second bounce because you can get a better sense of the balls full trajectory? Can you elaborate on this concept?

Most beginners will not understand a ball's complete trajectory. They will always go towards the first bounce even on an incoming high ball or lob. So, once they get to the first bounce, suddenly the ball will go over them (or passed them). By hitting the ball after it bounces twice, beginners will start to learn that you can hit the ball as it FALLS down towards the second bounce. They'll also start to learn to run backwards to hit some deep balls. I also found intermediate players may have this problem too when doing warmup rallies. For instance, when a ball is hit short and a player doesn't get there in time, they may still rush to hit the ball in a futile attempt, instead of choosing to simply let the ball bounce twice and continue the rally. By practicing hitting balls after it bounces twice, players will start to understand all the choices you can make of where and when you can hit a tennis ball. Hope that helps.

Thanks! New sub., and better reading/recognition is what I"m working on. What's interesting with me, is, I'm good at mini tennis. no problem reading any shot there.but when it's time to play something changes. I wonder how my brain works and what I do in mini to recognize the ball. I like the details in the video.

It is an interesting issue! Depth perception can be a factor. Mini tennis can be very different versus baseline to baseline. Thanks for the sub! 🙏

@@CoachAdrian I hadn't thought of that! I do believe I look at the ball the wrong head position though! I can rally ok at the baseline. Thanks for answering! :).
