Mr. Vaj that’s the most wrong thing I’ve ever heard. Think about all those unhealthy people that are miserable, mentally and physically. Eat all the delicious food you want, get drunk all the time, smoke, do drugs, it’s all temporary happiness. Most unhealthy people can’t look in the mirror and be genuinely pleased with what they see looking back. Being mentally and physically healthy is the the absolute opposite of being depressing, it’s the first step in being truly happy
@6FtBeats
@6FtBeats 5 жыл бұрын
@Mr. Vaj Because it doesn't work like that. Eating healthy is a start but it's not a magic solution - There is none but if you implement a lot of little thing you can make it go away. Sport is good too but same thing it's just a part of a bigger process. *Depression is a negative feedback loop.* If you feel sad and depressed, and start eating healthy and exercise everyday while waiting for the depression to disappear it won't work because you're still focusing on your depression, therefore still giving it a place in your life and paradoxally reinforcing the depression > negative feedback loop. It's the same for a lot of phobies actually. What you also need is a purpose. Something that is meaningfull for you and that you work on. It can be anything from building a caban in the forest to writting a booking. Also every time you feel sad you need to think of it as a passing phase. The less you pay attention to it the quicker it disapear. You may also want to consider past traumatic event in your life that may have caused it because finding closure can help. Learn to enjoy little moment, find magic where you can. Think of ways you can get your dopamine kick by just appreciating the fact that you are alive and breathing.

#1. Decide that you are not tired. Thank you so so so much for this. I've got a huge problem with gaslighting in my family ( I'm pretty sure me, my older sibling, and one of my parents are somehow unintentionally gaslighting each other. If not, at least I'm always feeling gaslighted by them) and I'm always doubting myself over whether or not they're just self victimizing themselves in order to get out of doing something or if I'm just really expecting too much out of them. It's a little thing, but this really took a weight off my chest in order to not accept their excuses of being too tired when I know it's just that they are mentally unwilling to care enough to put some effort into doing something for my sake and aren't willing to admit it.

I also have an energy drop in the afternoon (between 2PM and 4PM). This is because Melatonin (snooze-inducing hormone) gets released in our bodies in this time of the day. I want to point out that napping really helps me restore my energy and ability to focus drastically, but the trick is not to nap longer than 20min. So taking into account that you need like 15min to fall asleep normally, when you lay in bed to take a nap, set your timer to 35min and you are good to go. Even if you fall asleep 5min earlier/later, it's still good. 15 - 25min nap is all in optimal range for the best recharge. Here is a quote from one article: "Post-lunch sleepiness can stem from a dip in your core body temperature that naturally happens between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. It’s a dip that triggers the release of a snooze-inducing hormone called melatonin. It’s a normal part of your body’s circadian rhythm. To combat this dip, try listening to upbeat music, stepping out into the sunshine for a few minutes, or going for a brief, brisk walk to rev up your body." So being active can also help you deal with this or you can take a quick nap, which works for me. There is a lot of info on why napping longer than 25min makes you groggy and feeling more tired than before you took a nap. It has to do with REM cycles. If you are interested, try Googling "nap how long" and you will find a lot of info about it.
@felreizmeshinca7459
@felreizmeshinca7459 5 жыл бұрын
I thought it should be less than 20 minutes to prevent waking up groggy? I guess it depends on each person. But it is such a bad luck that I have no place to take a nap in my office or anywhere near the building of my office.

What are you eating for lunch? If it's high in carbs then that could be the reason of your dip since your glycogen level goes up and then lets you crash afterwards. I do intermittent fasting and eat a low carb diet and don't have those dips anymore. But even with the intermittent fasting and healthy lifestyle if i would have bread or pasta or any high carb food i would very shortly after start to feel tired and would want to take a nap. So try checking that out.

Great vid, bro! You motivated me to rethink running as a part of a morning routine to increase amount of exercise I get during the week 💪 I think your prejudice towards naps may come from taking naps that are too long. It turns out that after ~30 minutes of sleeping your mind goes into deep sleep phase. What it means is that if your nap lasts more than 30 minutes, you'll feel extremely sleepy after waking up. I've been taking < 30 minutes naps after a lunch everyday for over a year now and they work like magic! Even though I'm a lark and I wake up extremely early, naps make the second part of my day more productive than the first one 👍

After reading a book "Why we sleep" (which I highly recommend) I started taking short naps in the middle of the day. In the beginning it was just as you say, I felt worse after a nap, but I continued and after a couple of days I started to feel more energetic, and the energy level kept being on stable level until end of the day. So I think we can learn how to nap, as everything else. Keys to my naps were to have it short 15-25 minutes max and do something physical or a mental puzzle just after the nap fight sleep inertia.

You might feel tired after the nap due to sleep inertia state you get in after certain amount of time asleep. It's usually 20-30 minutes. This means, that after a nap this short it should boost your energy levels, however, if you exceed this time frame you will feel clumsy and numb as your body was already prepared for a all night's sleep.

Nice video. I do most all of these things but I work from home from very early to the afternoon. Then it's time to work on long term goals that aren't urgent. So, I often crash in the middle of the day. Not because I'm so tired, but because my willpower for the day is shot. I will try what you said. Maybe the walk, gym, or meditation works because you're taking your mind off of everything you want/have to do.

For the whole waking up consistently thing, it's actually REALLY important for our mental clock. Once we have a set time to wake up, our body knows when to release those chemicals that allow us to fully function in the morning and motivate us to get up. Without a consistent schedule, the body just doesnt know when you're going to wake up at all, so it's less likely to be efficient in terms of releasing neurochemicals at the right time.

Really good tips! But I think it's also important to say that things like depression, anxiety or lack of motivation can be the decise factor for low energy throughout the day. Doing what you said, those things will get better, but might not be solved and most of the times people just bury them and think they should be strong enough to move forward in spite of them. And that's terrible, we gotta have some self-awareness and take care of those things. And another problem that can be a consequence of that (or not) is health issues. Stomach and intestine respond almost directly to how you're feeling, and if you're stressed out, or don't see why you should keep going and doing your stuff, they can be a "phantom pain" that never goes away, no matter what you try in medicine. There are many other examples of how the body react to those things, aside, of course, from ilnesses that are not related to the emotional state and will mess with your energy too. Anyway, I know it's common sense, but I think it's important to remind people to know their body and their mind as a whole. A simple change of perspective or a specific ingredient on a diet can make a huge difference in their lives.

I was always tired despite getting enough sleep and doing workouts from time to time. Because i had depression i thought it was the reason, so i didnt see a doctor. Later on i had to do a blood test for something else and it turned out i had an extremly low iron level. After taking iron medications for 3 months, it got so much better. I still have low energy most of the time but i dont feel like sleeping all the time now. Sadly not enough people speak about nutrition defficey symptomps. (Sorry if i made any mistakes, english is not my native language)

Almost 3 months after starting to train "for medical, energetic, healthy, habits, and physiological reasons, more than static" I saw a huge bust of energy in my body. I started to sleep less, I am sleeping 5 hours a day , some days I sleep 4 and it's not my fault, my body is waking up alone - and I've become a morning person. One other thing, my libido has risen so much in recent months that it's really becoming annoying, really ... I do not I get more sleep naked hahahahaha I work out. meditate and I do yoga; These three things helped me give direction to my life. I work from home and it's hard to have a restricted and thriving routine if you do not have a boss or a fucking system biting you every day. I've never been taught how to work alone, how to be better with yourself. Depression took me to meditation that takes me who I really am. Keep going, son.

EXTENDED SUMMARY: 1. Decide you are not tired, believe you are enrgetic 2. Don't oversleep. Get below 8hrs. Relyabe schedule - wake up the same time always. 3. Exercise every day, intensive every other day. Brain will give energy for that lifestyle. 4. Reduce sugar and cheap carbohidrates, get complex ones instead. Eat dark greens and veggies, drink a lot of water 5. Midday reset - short walk / meditate / gym. What costs energy gives energy.

Just imagine how low in energy you would feel if you would skip drinking water for more than 7 or 8 hours a day. This exactly happens when we sleep! Start your day with a liter of pure or lemon infused water on your empty stomach. I prefer to do it in bed while watching the news. I just drink it until i feel fully energized. Trust me you WILL feel the energy, i even can easily skip coffee this way. (Take a while to get used to it though).

When I was younger, I had SO MUCH ENERGY. I want it back. I could run miles, and just do anything for a long time without getting tired. I could play sports all day without getting tired. I almost never felt tired until the end of the day when it was time to sleep. I want it again but I don’t know how I used to do it. Does anyone relate? People used to think I was drinking coffee or something because I was so hyper/ just never tired.
