I get my food from my butcher it cost around $1.25 a pound it has chicken, beef, pork and organs , grinded up bones,together. I get 70 pounds at a time and weigh it roughly to 10 ounces then put it in a container for frozen foods( bought off amazon 50 lids and containers in a box). I then put it all in a freezer. I take out one container in the morning and let it thaw out. At dinner I put the container in a clear glass dish , boil water and cover the container for 15 minutes which warms it a bit, I add two capsules of fish oil, some broccoli, sweet potatoes 3 slices,coconut oil 1 teaspoon, some blueberries and some calcium powered just a little bit 1/8 and put it all in a bowl and feed my dog.

feeding raw is making me more mindful about what i eat too. it’s making me want to look into the correct ratios for human biology and just pretend I’m learning to feed another pet because apparently that’s how my brain will be able to latch onto the idea 😂

My 11-month-old pomeranian has Blue Buffalo kibble in the morning, and for dinner, it's Primal freeze-dried raw with a few Instinct pumpkin toppers for gut health. The kibble is mainly to help keep her teeth clean.

I feed my dogs Primal freeze dried raw with raw goat milk for breakfast. For dinner I add either Primal or Instinct raw frozen and I also will add in different fresh raw proteins such as angus beef stew, chicken, pork tenderloin, sardines, raw organic eggs, bone broth, and different veggies, raw chicken wing, beef and chicken livers and gizzards. I like to add variety to their meals and I hope they have enough supplements. You are so awesome and I love your videos.

I just got back my dog's food intolerance results and I'm devastated. He's allergic to everything! He can only have grass fed beef, lamb, eggs and soy. Everything else (barley, chicken, corn, duck, lentil, milk, millet, oatmeal, peanuts, pork, potato, quinoa, rabbit, rice, salmon, sweet potato, turkey, venison, wheat & whitefish) I had to eliminate from his diet to avoid the severe reactions he was presenting. My boy Duke really needs to eat and be treated like royalty. 😅

@PawsofPrey so for my dog I see him suffering so bad with some foods. I could not figure out what proteins ect to feed him and his paws were always so red and he would bite them all the time. I had to put him on apoquel just to relieve him but, that medication makes him act so weird so I took him off. I finally did the intolerance test and seems to help but I have to pay attention to grass fed or grain fed meats. So hard to do a balanced diet and or change up his food because of that. I know variety is good but for some dogs they might have to eat the same proteins. Love your videos!!

I started feeding my dog raw 11 months ago at 8 and a half Years old( bear in mind that till that point he ate mixture of orijen kibble and table scraps) after i did months of research on it. And it was a strugle at first😥, he didn’t want to eat his premade raw, and it stressed me out. But i didn’t give up, and slowly he began to Eat his premade grinds, and almost a year later he now eats all by himself off of a plate, which is a big deal for me, beacause i had to hand feed him till this point since he refused to Eat it himself lol. He is still on premade raw with added toppers( pasture raised and fed raw goats milk, dehydrated meat treats etc.) and i would love to make him DIY homemade meals, and i tried months ago, but he would Eat them for few days, after which he would just sniff it and walk away, and even feeding it at his next meal didn’t work. But Ive been adding few chunks of Grass fed and finished beef to his meals lately and he eats them first, then rest of his meal, so he got my hopes up again start making him homemade diet. Have your fingers crossed for me guys!🤞🏻🤞🏻 Sorry for a long comment, i was just inspired by this video to share my raw feeding story.😅

My cat doesn’t like freeze dried raw food. She likes raw a lot. But what I do is partially make all her raw food. I follow a PMR model in general with a mix I make along with a mix I buy to give her supplemental ingredients she needs. I buy a complete and balanced raw as well and still put my homemade mix of ingredients like dried kelp, probiotics, green mussel powder as well as nutritional yeast and dried green and grass powders. I add fish and egg yolks as a treat every now and then. And a local pet food store sells a variety of PMR style raw meats from sources I can buy at Albertsons or Safeway, such as venison, antelope, Guinea fowl, etc. I try to switch up her main source of meat as much as I can. Also I don’t grind my meat. I give her small chunks of meat. And small raw bones to gnaw on with her regular meals. She picks those out first before any ground meat I give her. I fed a modified version of this to an older dog I was pet sitting and he loved it so much I left some in the ref for the owners when they came home. They couldn’t believe how much their baby loved it and how much energy he had afterwards.

As well as making sure my pet is getting all the nutrition it needs through looking up and adding together the nutritional information, do I also have to make sure each thing I feed it adds up to it's daily caloric need?
@dalebailey7542 ай бұрын
I like these videos, but most raw dog feeders and coaches make this extremely difficult and confusing for the beginner. I like listening to Dr. Connor Brady. He’s a vet, nutritionist, with a background in zoology from Ireland. He’s not all about you being perfectly balanced, pouring over spreadsheets. Instead, you take the principals, use the eyeball method, and your meals balance out over time. No living being has completely balanced meals at every feeding. Feed them a variety to get a variety of nutrients. Definitely loosely follow the 80/10/10 rule, make veggies and fruits extras, and, over time, they get what they need. Don’t know why people insist on over complicating things. Wild dogs and wolves, as well as feral dogs eat this way. Our pets can eat this way too.

I'm having a bit of a hard time with raw feeding topic. I'm considering many breeds right now and one of them is a sighthound. I've been following this account for pretty much a year now and I was getting really excited on getting my future puppy and immidietly feeding it fully raw, but recently I've heard that sighthounds for thousands of years have been mostly fed bread and low protein table scraps, so they wouldn't eat their hunters catch, and the dogs didn't were bred the most. Does this mean that sighthounds might not thrive on a raw diet? And even if they might, might ratios apply to them differently as they have literally no body fat?

Oke am I the only one who still feels the biggest question is still not answered. The reason why we don't eat raw and we don't feed raw is parasites, maggots, bacteria etc. How can you make sure that the meet won't have any parasites? Cause heat is the most effective way to sanitize it. And just saying you should trust the regulations and stores it's not enough. As they can't really do much to fight microscopic beings

@@PawsofPrey Hi, Thank you but I'm not convinced at all. I give raw food to my dog, because they won't have very big issues even if thwy get sick because they are vaccinated or druged againts the most harmful diseses. But these practices are not garanteeing a risk free feeding and not reducing these organisms near to 100%. If you really want to avoid something hand washing and other sanitation are just a small step. As many of these organisms come from jnside the meat or from the processing of it. So I guess the answer is that the benefit is higher as it's healthier to ur dog, but also the risks are higher than dry food

I was baffled. . . but then I'd been helping my mother grind raw for her dogs for years at that point. . .the fun parts were the heart and liver because they don't need to be forced down into the grinder like the chicken back pieces she would use for the bulk of the diet at the time. Every time I mention I intend to switch our two cats over to raw my mother-in-law gets the most disgusted look on her face. But then, can't even convince her not to feed her dogs kibble despite the younger one has eating problems and clearly wants anything but kibble. But no. . .take responsibility for her own pets health? And she wonders why I hate dog sitting for them.
