Grandma was resting on a char, wile I was chattering away as any kid would. When my cat started to behave strangely. At first, she would mew and go from place to place then the soft tagging and mewing. No one understood the potential threat happening. Until my cat just started to drag Grandma to the kitchen. Food was a bit burned but Grandma and I never overlooked my cat's mews again. ❤

My wife and I had a large Anatolian (White with blue eyes, but NOT deaf! They are considered to be rather dog like also, and they like water) Anyway, he was about twenty pounds, and very gentle, but territorial. I'd seen him chase several dogs out of our (his) front yard. One day the wife and I were in the backyard, and as we approached the back fence the neighbors big rottweiler charged at us barking loudly. Shogun; our cat came from behind us, and ran up to the fence and struck a classic cat attack pose like he was going to whop the rottie on the nose, and then he kissed at him. Bravest cat I ever saw, and he didn't even have claws, because he was mostly an inside cat. Didn't slow him down much though. Since then I swore I would never have a cat declawed again. Which I have sometimes regretted, but it really should never be done. Spay and neuter, but DON'T Declaw!

Once I got sick in the middle of the night. I went out into the living room for something and one of my cats was playing with a toy there. He looked at me and immediately stopped and just stared at me. I went back to bed and he came and sat next to me for HOURS. He was (and is) definitely my guardian cat!

I live on a remote mountainside where apex predators abound so my cat depends on me for protection. Early one morning a mountain lion screamed just below my 2nd floor balcony while my cat was sleeping beside me. He was instantly up in the rafters of my open-beam ceiling. If you've ever heard a mountain lion scream close by it sounds like a woman being brutally assaulted. When I open my door so he can go outside, he'll give me the look, "Are you trying to get me killed?"

My Abigal use to sleep in the doorway of my bedroom.. Was she protecting me. Or was it something else. Things changed in the apt. And we were living in separate rooms. Was she doing this to keep me safe, or to get close to me or because she wanted food?? I miss my beautiful precious girl. The situation affected our health. And I c couldn't get her proper vet care. Also the lock-down made a bigger mess with vet care. What a horror. My poor beautful girl.. it hurts so much, that I couldn't give her what she neeeded.

After I had surgery, and went home, I had a nightmare and fell out of bed. From that point on, my cat slept at my side, so I couldn’t easily fall out of bed again.

My cat once bit me while i was asleep, he bit me so hard it woke me up and drew blood. Never had that happen before, so i called a vet and i was asked if i had any health issues. I do, i have alot of health problems, and the vet told me it might have sensed i was in danger. Even though it hurt and i was all bloody, u didnt get angry or yell at him. I called him over to me and gave him a big hug. He died and i feel it was my fault, i miss him😢

For a couple months i had a terrible roommate yet his two cats were always around, guarding outside my door, crying, inexplicably behaving different than before I moved in, so i was told. They were trying to protect me from the big pitbull.

My one cat kept walking up and down my side in the middle of the night because she sensed that my sugar was very low. I was so shaky I tested my sugar and it was 45 in less than 10 minutes it went down to 42 your sugars are supposed to be no less than 75.
