I'm glad to hear that the content has been helpful for you as a newcomer to web design. 1) Regarding your first question, you will need a new wordpress account for each website you build for clients, but that happens automatically every time you create a new website under your hosting account. You don't need to open a new Hosting account every time you create a new website for your clients however. With Hostinger (or any other hosting provider depending on their plans and features), you can create multiple websites under the same account. You can simply add new websites to your existing account and manage them all from one dashboard, which makes it convenient for you to keep track of your projects. I recommend Hostinger business or premium hosting plans cause they offer you up to 100 websites on the same account for reasonable pricing. 2) This is a common question among beginners. Yes, you can absolutely finish creating a website before paying for hosting and a domain name. In fact, it's a common practice to design and develop a website locally on your computer using software like WordPress installed on a local server. Once your website is complete and you're ready to make it live, you can then purchase hosting and a domain name and transfer your website to the live server. HOWEVER, transferring a website is a little process of its own as well and personally, if I know I am being paid to create a website for a client already, then I would just purchase the domain and hosting and create it right then and there so I wouldn't have to go through the trouble of transferring it later. On the other hand, if you are just wanting to practice building websites without paying, then by all means, create them offline for practice like i mentioned earlier locally on your own computer or local server. LocalWP is a software I use to do this for free for practice. 3) It's important to understand what happens to your website once your hosting and domain name subscription expires. Typically, if you fail to renew your hosting and domain name subscription, your website will go offline and become inaccessible to visitors. However, most hosting providers offer a grace period during which you can renew your subscription without losing your website data. It's crucial to keep track of your subscription renewal dates and ensure timely payments to avoid any disruption to your website's availability. Or you could just set up autopay with a credit card and you dont have to worry about it. And if your site does get temporarily suspended because of payment failure, you should get an email immediately letting you know so you can just log in and fix the issue. Typically, these notifications are generated by plugins or WordPress core functions, and their frequency can vary depending on the site's activity. One approach to minimize client notifications is to carefully select and configure plugins, ensuring that only essential notifications are enabled. Additionally, educating clients about the importance of these notifications and providing guidance on managing their email settings within WordPress can be helpful. Communication is key, so I make sure to discuss this aspect with clients upfront and offer support as needed. I know they can be annoying at times, but it is a necessary part of owning a website. They need to be aware of what is happening to their site at all times. Some solutions to this could be switching the admin email on your wordpress account to a secondary email account that they use specifically for their website so they still receive the updates and notifications, just not to their personal email. (at times I dont like getting these emails, but every once in a while something important comes up and I am glad I saw the email so I could go fix it) Or you could have them set up a custom email filter that moves all these emails out of their inbox and into a special folder that they just check every week or so. Something like that might help. 2) Regarding Envato templates and customization, it's generally okay to customize a template to fit your client's needs and then save it as a new template. However, before deleting the original Envato template and associated plugins, it's essential to thoroughly test the customized version to ensure everything functions correctly. Some plugins may be required for specific functionalities, so it's crucial to assess whether any dependencies exist. Deleting unnecessary plugins after customization can help streamline the site's performance, but it's essential to proceed with caution to avoid potential issues. Also, if you save a template like that, it will not be constantly updated in the future, so when you keep using that template 2 or 3 years in the future, you will see that it constantly needs to be updated as soon as it is installed and that is something that could be an issue. I have done this in the past and finally gave up on it and just download current templates as I need them from current sources. 3) Achieving Google sitelinks without using an SEO plugin is definitely possible, although it may require a different approach. Google sitelinks are generated algorithmically based on the structure and content of a website, as well as its popularity and relevance to search queries. While SEO plugins can help optimize a site for search engines for beginners who don't know what they are doing, other factors such as high-quality content, user-friendly navigation, and a well-structured website architecture also play a significant role. By focusing on these aspects and consistently delivering excellent user experiences, you can increase the likelihood of your clients' websites being eligible for Google sitelinks. At the end of the day, I couldnt tell you how to master SEO like the web designers in your area in one youtube comment but I would say, the more you learn about SEO, the better off you will be and the less you will need SEO plugins. You can check out youtubers like Sam Oh with @Ahrefs (heres the link: www.youtube.com/@AhrefsCom) who are MUCH BETTER at SEO than I am and learn all that you need. If I use an Envato template that doesn´t require extra plugins besides Envato and Elementor, then I customize it, save my customized one and delete Envato, it would be okay, right? My client won´t have an issue in a few years because of that, no? Do you simply leave the original template and the required plugins as is when delivering the website to your clients? Please know these are all such innocent questions from a bloody beginner who simply wants to learn. You have no idea how much you help people who try to work online and deliver beautiful work.
