In this video, I’ll share with you guys what I think are the 5 WORST Louis Vuitton SLGs (or small leather goods). This is just my opinion and what I consider to be the “worst” based on the price of the item, its functionality, and also my lifestyle. What doesn’t work for me may not necessarily mean it won’t work for you and your lifestyle. This video is not meant to insult anyone who likes these SLGs or who owns them, but more to shed some light into why I don’t think they’d be worth the money and will not work for me.
I hope you enjoy this video and hearing my thoughts, and of course, I really hope it helps some of you out there who may be considering these SLGs and provides a different (but helpful) perspective!

I love the cosmetic pouch! I have it in the smaller size and it’s the perfect catch all for all the little miscellaneous things in my handbag. I agree if you aren’t good at keeping your make up clean and tidy, it wouldn’t make sense to have the LV cosmetic pouch

Yes, totally with you 🙌🏼 sometimes it is hard to walk away from hot items like the cosmetic/travel pouches and key rings, they all look good on insta/flatlays but in the end they end up sitting on the vanity or stored away 😣 or maybe it's me! haha I simply don't have the extra money to spend on luxury items that don't serve a functional use 🤣 hello target 🤩

The phone case, definitely agree. I change phones every 2 years as well so that seems like a waste. They are certainly so so expensive for what it is.

Hello! I agree with you about the card holder. I’ve never use mine. I bought it because I wanted a piece of reverse monogram in my collection but I did not want it in a bag. The key pouch is 10 times better. It’s definitely a collectors piece.

Haha I have a cosmetic pouch and a toiletry 15 and I definitely regret buying them, I’ve had an LV cardholder like that and it was too hard to get cards in and out of it. So pretty but so impractical. We’re on the same page on those items lol great video 👍

Love the video as always! Fellow aussie here! A bit off topic but, what do you use to protect your vachetta leather dear? I remember you mentioned it in one of your vids but couldn’t find the exact video

Thank you so much! 🥰 I use the Kiwi Extreme Protector Long Lasting Water Protector Spray (it can be found in the shoe section at Coles). It doesn’t look the fanciest, but it does the trick and for only $10 ☺️ just be careful and let the vachetta leather dry before doing a second coat, and make sure to wipe off any excess spray you get onto the canvas with a damp microfibre cloth. Also, don’t be alarmed if the vachetta leather looks really dark when you spray it - it’ll lighten up again once it dries ☺️

Thank you for your review. I think that many do not use Vuitton Cosmetique and Toiletry for cosmetics or Toiletries, but as a storage pouch or purse and use a protective organizer.

Thanks for the awesome tip about the Dior cosmetic pouches! I just went on their site and they have gift sets that come with a really nice case. I'll be keeping an eye out for a set with items I need! I've definitely had leaks happen before, so I use a washable pouch instead of purchasing a luxury cosmetic case. I know some people like inserts for those, but I personally dislike the idea of going out of my way to get another item to make it more functional, especially at that price point. And plus, it takes up quite a bit of space in the interior.

It’s definitely super compact and easy to throw in any bag or pocket. I’m trying to use it more in hopes I can stretch it out more but I was honestly just sold on the reverse monogram print 🤣

Love my reverse mono card holder too but it’s been sitting in the box since I got it. I just really love that print. It’s a perfect match for my PSM in the same print. I use my YSL card more but when using my small LouLou. Both are super cute so I’ll keep them both lol there’s just something about the reverse monogram!

I carry my reverse and the new print they have daily and they are perfect for me since I carry mini bags, no cash although I could. I don’t have the cosmetic case but so many people have converted it to a mini handbag so that’s a great investment.

Agree with you on the cosmetic pouch the moon shape one , I wanted it for a while but now I can’t stand to look at it. However the toiletry is an essential piece , I don’t wear make up but I put a bunch of mini things on there that come so handy. And the card holder I let it go and bought the YSL one which I love but ended up adding it back to my collection . I love it too much ! But at the same time I always carry the Rosalie on my bah so the cardholder it’s only for 2 cards and my military ID. 💛💛💛💛

It’s 50/50 for me. If you use the cosmetic case, NOLITA and vanity case for what they’re made for it can be pricey..But if you turn the pouches or toiletry pouch as a bag I think it’s a great alternative especially for the price increase. TFS your POV ❤

I disliked the cosmetic pouch. I had to sell it fairly quickly on. Hated playing Tetris when putting my items in there and didn’t like how the zipper got wonky if overstuffed by a bit. Also, no offense it is not cute as a clutch or crossbody. The shape is so odd and I’ve seen someone wearing it in person once and it looked so weird against their frame. I dont know, just my opinion! Zipper wonky if overstuffed... Lol that's most LV items 😂. The Neverfull Pouch, the Pochette Accesoires, Mini Pochette just to name a few.

@@LvLove518 haha, true they all kind of are. For me the cosmetic pouch is way more wonky by the zipper when it’s overstuffed just slightly and it doesn’t hold as much in my opinion. At least with the Toiletries you can fit more in without the zipper becoming super wonky. :) Everyone has their one personal taste, the cosmetic pouch def didn’t work for me unfortunately.

I agree with most of these. I did invest in the pm cosmetic case in Damier Ebene because I think it will wear well over time and the red lining is beautiful. I don’t use a lot of cosmetics so I use it as a catch all in my purse because it holds a lot but takes up less space as say, a Pochette Accessoire. I find myself tempted on some of the keychains but there are so many cheaper ones out there that look so good on LV bags that I have to agree they aren’t worth the price tag. They sure are pretty though 😍. TFS your thoughts!

I agree with everything else except the card holder if you carry just the essential cards like drivers license, 2 credit cards, Costco card, and insurance card. That’s all I need and it will also hold a bill or two if I need it. The price is good and material is so durable it still looks brand new after 2 years of daily use. I like carrying mini bags so it’s perfect for people who likes mini bags. I do love the Chanel flap card holder also! As for the others, I agree and definitely save the money and get an actual bag.

I agree in that it’s super compact and perfect for mini/nano bags but I think I just carry way too many cards on a daily basis for it to be functional for me 😂 it’s still too cute to let go though so I’m glad I have a piece of reverse monogram in my collection 😋

I am agree with you. Especially about bag charm and phone cases. I have in my life just the stuff that constantly serve a purpose, I don’t own a lot of items, but between them I have a DE mini pochette that I don’t think it is so worth, it is still between my items because often I used for receipts or sometimes when I have a lot of bills that make my wallet so distorted go to the mp. I ordered one time the card holder. I returned it. Thanks for the video.

I also own the reverse monogram card holder because I don't have anything in that pattern but it's quite useless LOL. It doesn't hold anything and with 4 cards in it, it makes it look so bulky. Great video!

I agree with this video for myself. But I bought the tolietry 15 preloved and I use it for a catch all and make up. But I wouldn’t have paid full price for it. Thanks for sharing.

I don't agree on the LV Cosmetic pouch, I don't really use it as cosmetics. I could use it as small clutch and turned it into a small crossbody for less than 1k! :) I think they look cute, ive also made a video about it

I totally agree! The cosmetic pouch is my most favorite thing ever. I’ve never used it for cosmetics. I use it as a clutch or crossbody for my keys phone cards cash lotion coin purse business cards and chapstick. It only costs 10 bucks to buy an insert to protect the interior that also wipes completely clean. Mine has never flipped with items inside of the cosmetic pouch with a crossbody chain. I need to be hands free a lot for work and I also need to keep my bag with me at all times so it’s used daily. Having them In every style and daily use means I’ve gotten the most use out of them and the price for three is less than one bag that I wouldn’t use because carrying around bigger bags is such an outdated concept for me.

I have the same card holder from Lv. Before this I had a D&G and it was smaller, but with more pockets but I have to say the LV is better. I really enjoy mine. I can put a lot of cards in it. Definitely a good buy for me! I guess it depends on the person how many cards you keep in your card holder:) The more you use, the more it stretches and the more you can put inside. The best way to use it...one card per side...the part where you can insert more cards is in the middle pocket. Right now I have 1 on each side and 6 cards in the middle, plus 2 business cards.

Hi, i generally only have 2 cards that i carry around usually. Looking for a compact card case and i love the reverse monogram style.. as long as i can fit some cash in the middle compartment. Hello! The reverse monogram card holder has a super slim profile so it’s great for small bags or even to fit in your pocket! It’ll fit 2 cards and a couple of notes in the middle compartment comfortably but not much else.

Thank you! 🥰 I think they’re super cute! And fairly reasonably priced for designer costume jewellery (compared to other fashion houses like Chanel or Dior). I think owning a piece or two of designer jewellery is worth it if you really love the design ☺️

Hmm I think out of the 2, I prefer the look of the Essential V Bracelet. I love the edgy look of it ☺️ have you had a look at the Petit Louis Bracelet? It’s definitely a more dainty piece but it’s beautiful! I’ve been eyeing it for a few weeks but need to try it on in store to see how small it is 🤣

Lol you are so right everyone has an opinion on shapes and styles that they like and don’t like. I would never buy the speedy because it looks like a dental or medical bag with a designer logo on it. But that’s just my opinion. Yet I use that cosmetic pouch everyday but if I was worried about price or practicality I wouldn’t have any LV items in my collection.

😂😂😂I LOVE the speedy bag. I love the 35 cause you can fit so much in it. It’s funny you say they look like dr bags. The less bougie name for that style bag is “doctor” bag or satchel. It tickles me how the name changes as the price tag goes up.😅

@@myfibroshoes Lol you are so right that name changes are serious lol. The only way I’m carrying a bag as large as the 35 is if it’s being used on an overnight trip. I only have enough stuff on a daily basis to fit in a nano sized bag. But like I said it’s just my personal preference. I loved the big bags 20 years ago when I was a lot younger and had three kids and all their stuff to carry.

I love the cosmetic pouch (excellent catch all in any purse) and the card holders. I have multiples of each, including the reverse monogram (great for quick runs in the Neverfull pouches). I have key pouches and mini pouchettes and I never reach for them. I guess to each her own 🤷🏽♀️

My absolute favorite SLG is the cosmetic GM. I initially got the king size toiletry and later got the cosmetic GM for my daily make up, the toiletry 19 for my face items, and the mini pochette for small things like Band-Aids and Tylenol. I found that I prefer to keep these items separated instead of all inside one large organizer. I will pass down my king-size toiletry to my son because it seems unisex. I agree that all of the other items are not worth it though

I have that card holder, I think I bought it because I wanted "something" in reverse monogram, but I've never even used it! 😭 I have a Gucci one that I love way more, and then I got the LV coin card holder, which is a million times more useful than the reverse monogram card holder. Plus now that I have the reverse pochette metis, do I even need this card holder? Nope!

I was the exact same! 😆 I didn’t want to invest in a reverse monogram bag, so I thought the card holder would be a good option! But yeah.. I have only used it a handful of times but it’s too cute to let go 🤣

I hate the reverse monogram card case, I purchased it newly for like 2 months, the whole top stitching area starts to have a very tiny wrinkled cracks. Phone cases also doesn’t last.

Great video. I purchased the cosmetic pouch in monogram print years ago when I think it was about $335.00 . I used it for many years but the wipeable material inside started to get a little tacky/ weird and I sold it. I later purchased the damier ebene with the red interior and rotate it between my other cosmetic cases. I enjoy it but I like my gucci cosmetic pouches better, they seem more flexible and when I over stuff my LV, the zipper get a little wonky. But love anything with LV print nevertheless they are addictive. ❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing.

I’ve heard rumours about the canvas prints going up in price but not sure if it’s just handbags or across the board including SLGs. I think some wallets and popular SLGs might so if you’ve had your eye on a canvas piece, I’d definitely say get it now to be safe! If you order online you can always return it if you don’t love it ☺️

I brought the slim purse not even a year ago and it ripped! I took it in and they wanted to charge me what a payed for it to repair . I'm so annoyed of how much lv quality has gone down. I have been so loyal to the brand and not I don't even wanna shop there no more

Oh no I’m sorry to hear that! 😰 I would try another LV store if I were you - sometimes it just depends on the SA! LV are generally pretty good and stand behind their products and the wear and tear - especially if it’s only been a year!

I have the smallest toiletries pouch and put my small essentials. I put 1 or 2 tampons, any meds, eye drops and 1 lipstick that is secure tight. I’m with you one using these SLGs for cosmetics but using for items that are not messy is perfect.

It’s good it has a wipeable lining in case anything spills. I think the T15 is more practical than the cosmetics pouch due to the size and shape of it ☺️

I think it depends if there is a unique design you absolutely love. I know LV does costume jewellery and fine jewellery so prices can vary significantly but like with any designer jewellery piece, you’re paying for the brand name and the unique design to that brand. I think it’s all personal preference. For me, I think i would rather use that money towards brands that are known for their jewellery like Cartier and look to LV for their handbags and SLGs 😆
