I became a writer at age 61 in Bogotá, Colombia It has been my way to overcome my reality as immigrant. It has been my way to protest elegantly and reach the World 🌎

Those are all fantastic fundamental tips. If I were pressed to come up with anything else, it would be to fearlessly leap into writing without editing or expectation, what Anne Lamott calls "the shitty first draft." Sometimes, the thing that helps kick off a writing session is abandoning any concept of the finished product, to forgive oneself in advance and just blurt out a writing session, knowing it can be cleaned up or tossed out later. The point is to start writing, and what holds many writers back is the belief that the first attempt has to be practically perfect in one shot.

Oh, that's so good, "fearlessly leap into writing without editing or expectation." And it fits so nicely with these strengths that focus on the writer him or herself. Thanks for watching and weighing in on the topic!

I am binge-watching your videos right now. lol. I think I'm 5 for 5 on your strengths. On item one, how does 24 to 30 hours sound? I can do that like a walk in the park. My record is 30 hours.... straight!

Oh, by the way, my KZfaq channel is pretty young, but my podcast is ancient (in digital years), and I have over 230 episodes. So you can really binge listen if you want to. Subscribe in your favorite podcast app and let it roll!

@@annkroekerwritingcoach Those long stints are far and few between these days. As for moving around, don't worry, I have 2 dogs that I love dearly, and I ensure they get at least 4 hours a day of my undivided attention, so I get my 10,000 steps a day in every day. Maybe 7,000 in this hot weather. The interesting thing is that it is during our long walks in the reverie of our peaceful country setting that the ideas flow incessantly.

@@annkroekerwritingcoach I bet I beat you out of bed too! Days start anytime between midnight and 3 am. If I wake up and my boys are in kitchen chatting when I prepare my coffee, I always tell them that the secret to success is when your today is everyone else's tomorrow. They just shake their heads. :-)
