Great to hear! I think one thing people forget is that most folks only post on forums if they have issues. Meaning, their most of these motors are probably just fine 🍻

Nice truck, I have a 2016 SL all stock with the Cummins that I’m the first owner of. Love the truck and has been trouble free, keep up the maintenance and filters. I don’t think folks who get into these newer diesels understand that these truck aren’t meant to be run around town trucks getting groceries and so on…. Due the the emissions mine has always been a highway truck towing or not.. keep its legs stretched and exhaust hot with the highway RPMs high and you will have no issues. Keep them wheels moving and take care.

Thanks! I agree, with the emissions it would be difficult to just drive around town it would go into regen a lot. The more it tows the better it runs.

@@timothydavis6078 luckily it’s still doing great. I tow and haul a lot in the summer; in the winter I don’t drive as much.

Maintenance is key for anything. I owned a 6.4 power stroke for 3 years with absolutely no issues at all. I was meticulous on maintenance and didn’t beat the hell out of it like most guys do and than bash on how bad they are. Used it strictly as a tow rig.

Yea most delete then use them as race cars then complain when something breaks. I maintain it and use it for working and towing.

Own a 16 xdc sv with 74k miles. Drove it off the lot new and never had a single issue. Pull 18ft enclosed trailer daily. Wish Cummins and Nissan would get back together.

I have owned two of these and only because i upgraded my 2017 sv extracab to a 2018 crewcab. I tow a 10k carhauler every weekend and somtimes randomly during the week from spring till fall. This is in the rockies with many 6% grades. This truck so far has been bullet proof. Now those who read crankshaft issues, those were only on a small first run of the 5.0l, those were all recalled and fixed. No issues with cranks after that. Cp4 fuel pump issues is rare on titan and ford 6.7l beause they had a lift pump under the bed that both primes and preloads the high pressure pump. The duramax and rams are the ones with most cp4 pump failures. Now to mitigate further, you can use a fuel lubricator addative. Also change the filters regularly and do. The prime cycle. Others say dont run truck below 1/4 tank. Others will hit the start button, but not foot on break which primes the pump. Do what ever makes you feel better. Not sure if nissan will relase a cp3 downgrade kit or not. Normally you dont hear of issues on nissans at all and the issues are generally stupid things, like tailgate lock needing adjustment often. Its easy to do. Also, if you commute in your truck or run short distances, you may flag for a P24B0 code which is the sensor on dpf. I have found a long highway run at 55-65 generally clears this code. I have seen this if the truck doesnt get to do a regen cycle. If your truck seems to be sluggish, definately take it out on a long drive, it will clear the dpf out. Fyi, if you have a crewcab, you cam sometimes find a blemished titan 50gal tank on titans website for around 900.00 usd. Highly recommend, so nice for longer distance and towing.

I’m currently looking at a 2017 Nissan Cummins to buy and I also live in the Rockies which I’ll be doing a lot of towing with it. Would you recommend buying one? I’ve heard good and bad and can’t decide if I should buy it? It perfect for what I need it to do that’s my dilemma.

@@Hollywoodeatsordrinksit I have a 2017 Titan XD, purchased new, deleted at 35k miles now at 121k running strong, tow a camper and boat. Towed several skid loaders. Mine has been rock solid.

I drive 100-200+ miles many work days and need fuel milage yet also stability with a ladder rack loaded up and a trailer out back. I have been eyeing up one of these since 2015 when the first safety yellow Pro 4x Cummins XD rolled off the auto hauler at the dealership.

Nice truck man! I have a 2019 xd 3 in lift 22x12.5 w 35 with 70k miles towed over 13k pounds w no problem. Just have a s&b intake thats all and you get a nice turbo spool out of it. Like your truck

Thanks! I would love to get a level kit with larger tires but it just drives and tows perfect so not sure I want to mess with that. Maybe in the future. 👍

Beautiful truck man.. I have the same year but al package out In southern Arizona with the leveling kit and air bags.. it tows great up the 17 to flagstaff.. 211ssx toyhauler loaded with water and a 2020 rzr turbo 4 in it.. no issues of yet.. just have to remember deff fluid.. oh I got the titan tank 50 gallons which makes a world of difference.. Beautiful truck friend ! Wish you all the best..

I bought a 2017 Xd Texas Titan 4 days ago with 30K miles on it. So far I love it. I didn't see all the negative vids prior to buying it only because I didn't look. Now that I've seen some of them they worry the hell outta me . The warrant has expired cuz it's 6 yrs old now so I'm wondering what company you went with for an additional warranty. I'm shopping around for one now. I did get an extended warranty with the truck when I bought it but I figure a 2nd won't hurt. Aside from all that, at this point I have nothing bad to say about this truck > i love it :)

definitely worrying, so long as youre on top of maintenance and stuff like the dielectric grease on the passenger side wiring harness and your regular fuel filter replacements you can prevent stuff like the fuel pump issues from what ive read. ive been following the advice with mine and so far the engine has been very strong. the biggest thing that worries me is the crankshaft snapping issue but ive read that weirdly enough thats a wiring harness tension stress factor.

The 5 liter Cummins diesel is a lousy fit for a daily driver - per my local Nissan diesel mechanic. I'm gonna sell mine for a gas truck this year.

I almost brought one in 2019 with 5.0 Cummings, but went with the 4th gen Ran 1500. I think the 5.0 Cummings would have been a great combo with the 8 speed zf transmission, in the ram as an option. However the boneheads at Stellantis went with that POS Italian 3.0 Fiat diesel and gave the ram a little bit of a bad rap.

The bed cover brand - Gator -truck bed accessories. It’s been a good cover for me and the price was really good.

@@brianh1161 I’ve have driven in a rain storm that caused alittle leaking in the corner. And I believe if you go through a car wash same thing the corner will have very little water. Other than that no leaking.

The only thing I’ve noticed is the more I pull with it the better it runs. This is my first diesel so I don’t have a ton of experience. Glad it’s been a good truck for you 👍
