So right! Here's the only poem my deceased son ever wrote for class: We should learn from little children. For their eyes are color blind. And their hearts are eagerly open. Not only to their kind. And they love each other purely. Happily playing all the time. Until someone much older plants prejudice in their mind.

I agree with you but they still learning about equality and how to intergrade. While Cubans may treat each other as family regardless of color, the division of races and nationality in the US have deep roots and even deeper wounds. This type of change becomes evermore reluctant with the current political climate which strives for division
@lianet7774 жыл бұрын
WordofYehovah I get that the United States is ridden with racism and tension, but the way to end that is to start facing the fact that every single one of us is a person. A human being. Battling the same battle. In western countries people love to separate one another by “class” and color and a bunch of imaginary BS that isn’t real. We are all people. We need to face that. That’s how we kill racism. We all bleed the same, we all need love, food, water, we all need Jesus Christ. We all need to repent for our sins. We ALL are human. Perfectly imperfect and we have got to get over our pretentious tendencies. No one is better than no one. No one’s imaginary “privilege” makes them better than no one. People giving prioritization to those that look like them, isn’t “privilege”; it’s just prioritization of folks that look like them, over others that don’t. As an American citizen, I wish that we could all just move on from the past, the bad choices that were made and that we could grow as a nation. But that’s not going to happen. We live in the last nanosecond. Before stuff truly gets ugly. Jesus Christ is coming soon. Racism is going to be the last thing in people’s minds when they see what’s coming if they don’t repent. That’s the real issue

Probably they see their different skin tones. But this is so little - or not at all - an issue for them that they take for granted all adults see it the same way.

simplebeauty 99 no they just accept the friendship. Hopefully they stay the same but our racist society will see one as different. One will be told only if you smiled more you would not have been shot. Believe it or not that will be said by a white person that considers themselves color blind

@BRANDON DAVIS no they aren't color blind Colorblind people see and understand societal concept of race, literally hence the term They don't know what any of that stuff is or means They know they don't look exactly the same, but they believe they live in a world were skin color is so irrelevant that people wouldn't be able to notice I actually feel bad for both of them, they're going to have to live in a world were people are divided, not just by color, but by opinions, class, status, etc I wish them the best
