VET TECH HERE!!! I would be VERY careful using any sort of yarn things for cats, especially toys. Cats tend to eat yarn which can cause what are called linear foreign bodies. This is when the intestines get bunched up in the yarn. These are extremely dangerous! If you do make anything for your pets with yarn, make sure you watch them to make sure they don't eat them!

(this was last year before my parents, which i knew was a bad idea to make her an out door cat, to let her out side a month later she was gone i wish her luck with all the kittens she had with the tom cat around lmao) Lucky for me hazel my past cat stole my yarn unraveled it and swallowed the end until she started pawing at the yarn to pull it out of her stomach so for the next 5 minutes I slowly pulled the yarn out of her stomach to avoid hurting her and after that i made sure she wasnt any where near my yarn stash😂

I absolutely love all of your 50 theme ideas to crochet. I have yet to make anything, I do have a shirt list. 🐣Just for the bird fans, you are correct about yarn and birds. No good and outdoor birds. Or maybe use yarn that’s not made of fabric something that won’t unravel and weather proof. Maybe something more natural twine, or straw, not sure if they can be crochet or maybe do a “basket weave with them and make a hanging bird house 🥰💗💗💗

These were such cute ideas! I don't have a pet and just watched it because of the cute pet photos! :) I would love to see a crochet FLOWER project ideas video - crochet flowers (bouquets), flower bags, other types of acc with flowers etc .. I could imagine something similar for PLANTS! :)

for fussy (or IMO all) cats, try the uni-hole sweater style! one big open oval where front legs go through so #1 they aren't constricted thus feeling better/more comfy + not instantly tearing out of it! #2 you dont have to try to get each leg in a hole! somehow they become whack a mole and when 1 goes in the other always pops out also 2.5 instead of solid gusset, make a wrap style with simple small button for even easier on/off's! hope this helps all our cat crochet commerads out there thanks for an awesome vid as always and much love!!! back to the binging

I laughed so hard with you 😆 I have cats, dogs and a snake. My snake would never allow me to out him in something no matter what 😂 but I did crochet a little cone shaped hat with hanging ear flaps for one of my cats, and omg he looks like an alpaca farmer from Peru. It's adorable. But like you mentioned, I don't let him walk around like that, it's just for fun and pictures. The dog clothes are very useful, I'm totally starting a tuxedo for my boy! 👌🏻

Something you can do with bigger birds is make them little sweaters and capes. Their actually functional if your bird if your bird is prone to plucking because it stops them from dong that, and keeps any naked spots warm when it's cold.

In the interest of not spending forever on something, only to have it rejected y your cat, try rigging up similar shapes with scrap fabric first, before making complex cat seats and beds. Cats like places they can easily get out of and see out of, but also want places that fit them tightly, in which they can still comfortably curl up, but still be "held" by container edges to feel safe. Many cats will reject a cat house because the walls around limit their range of vision (your cat wants to monitor everything all the time and instantly identify what that strange new sound over there is.) Open round cat beds probably fare the best -- cats have probably been curling up in circular and oval baskets for as long as humans have been making them.

@@luisaguerra2863 yea there are loads. If you search ‘beanie crochet hat for dolls’ as an example you can get quite a few results. And if the hat is a bit too small, it’s not to difficult to add an increase round or two and that works for if it’s too big as well. All the little hats I’ve made fit my piggies well so im sure it’ll be quite easy to make some for your chinchilla (:

I don’t think my rats would like that dress and hat outfit idea lol. I kind of want to try now though I always want to make stuff for them but with knit and crochet the little loops can get caught in their tiny toes. So I use fleece for things like hammocks and get creative that way.

Girl I am a slow crocheter and now I have WAY too many project ideas 😂 I'll never be able to finish them all and will be permanently on WIP hell. I'm not mad tho 😂 speaking of WIPs, do you still have the Squitty from Coraline pattern? I made one a million years ago but only made one leg before I lost the pattern. So I have an almost finished Squitty but with only one leg. I found the creator on ravelry and when I kessaged her she said she was redoing her website, but then she never did

re cat hats and hoods -- if your cat is tolerant enough to roam about the house in one of these for even a short while, it's a flexible friend indeed. Calibrate your expectations with the understanding that these will likely be covering your cat's head whiskers at the top. Cat whiskers are sensitive equipment rooted deep in bundles of neaves in their faces and sending a lot of use to their brains, so if putting something over head whiskers makes them spectacularly grouchy, they are well within their rights. Cats use whiskers on their head-tops, face sides and paws to navigate and in darkness, judge air currents and help with spatial awareness, because their close-up vision is much poorer than ours. So see these as a photo op prop and count on their usual home being on a cat stuffy or purpose made cat fashion head (could be fun to make). No judgement. Just don't expect the poise you can often get from dressing dogs. Some cats are truly tolerant, just not most, as only makes sense.

my dog would absolutely destroy anything made of yarn (she is a vicious killer)(that is a lie she's like 15 lbs) but i love seeing all the ideas! she doesn't like clothes much but she has several bows that she loves so i really need to find some patterns that won't be choking hazards lol
