As a native English speaker, I found this video so fascinating! I always knew that English was very hard to learn for a multitude of reasons, including the huge amount of words and synonyms (so many verbs have multiple near-perfect synonyms) and the spelling/pronunciation rules making no sense, plus idioms on top of all that, but phrasal verbs were something I had never considered and was completely unfamiliar with. To everyone who is currently studying to learn English - I have tremendous respect for what you are doing, please continue to learn even though my language is stupidly complicated. Thank you for all your hard work!

Thanks so much for your encouraging comment which makes me feel more willing and of course more determined to keep on learning English through enjoyable content and also improve my skills along the way. I do this every single day whenever I can because I want to get fluent in English. In my opinion, learning English is not a big deal unlike other languages such as Chinese, Arabic, Russian and so on. When it comes to learning a foreign language for a long time, we must be prepared to bring it on.

I'm looking forward to getting a more comfortable rest this weekend and making more progress on my English fluency journey because I want to get fluent in it. When I don't know certain words and probably new phrases or idioms, need to look them up at any online dictionary and thereby I can keep on learning new vocabulary over and over again. When it comes to acquiring a second language such as English, I always say to myself: Ernesto, you must be prepared to bring it on because is a great challenge. The same goes for any language I want to learn later on. Thanks a bunch for being my favorite online English teacher Vanessa, I love you ❤🌹.

Русских имен в комментариях нет вообще, это обьясняет видимо, почему в россии никто не говорит по английски даже на среднем уровне. Не хотят учить? Лень одолела? Ma'am, I know phrasal verbs and how to use them, yet whenever I talk to someone, I've to bring them up in my conversation consciously, and more often I find myself utilizing trite words, could you please suggest some ways through which we could use them intuitively?🙏🙏

Wonderful English lesson!! Thanks a lot for your great help in teaching us phrasal verbs in a way that we hardly realize we're learning 'cause you make the English language easier & more interesting. We can pick up the phrasal verbs now, BTW, i.e, to learn something NATURALLY. Keep up the good work.

May i add a phrasal verb here? there's one that's (i think) similar to catch on something which is "brush up on" and it means the same "I've been slacking off a little bit i have to brush up again on that subject"

Hi Vanessa, When I was at school we learnt "fill in the blank form" instead of "fill out the forms". Does it mean what we learnt was gramnatically wrong or there was something else? Pls. advise. Thanks😁
