When Non-Cubers like the Checkerboard pattern more than the Cube in a cube in a cube pattern. I taught how to swap the centres (4 moves pattern) to a non cuber friend of mine, and a different guy liked that pattern more than my Cube in a cube (T_T). I don't even know the formula for Cube in a cube in a cube pattern, I had to solve the cube that way.

They ask you why you have a Japanese cube. They try to turn fast with super rough wrist turns. They steal your cubes during class. They say you need to teach them.
