We're coming up to the 2nd anniversary of my Dad dying and I said to my wife that I'll put on a dfb video because that's a safe bet no chance of sadness and I've been out of sorts and teary all day. Immediately proven wrong, sobbed like a baby! So sorry for your loss AJ, I feel you! Beautiful dedication to your dad!

So sweet to dedicate to your dad ❤❤ Also, a tip for those wanting to do a split stay: unless things have changed, the 60-day dining reservation will only start 60 days from each separate reservation- you will not be able to reserve dining for the duration of the trip on a split stay, regardless of whether or not it is a consecutive stay. I learned this the last time my husband and I went to Disney World. I was only permitted to make reservations for the first part of the week (on our first hotel stay), and had to make the remaining reservations for the latter portion of our stay (at the second hotel) a few days later. Let’s just say there may or may not have been tears when I discovered this, especially because Space 220 was the main restaurant I wanted to go to, and it was completely booked for the first portion of our trip. Had it not been for a very kind cast member (who booked the dining reservation for us for the last part of our vacation week, after I explained my dilemma), it’s possible we would not have even been able to get in to the restaurant at all. So…yeah. An important tip to be mindful of 😅

First of all, I’m so sorry about your dads passing, but I’m so happy that he was a great dad! I can relate to having a great dad. Second of all, I’m 35 and fully potty trained, but I absolutely despise having a toilet flush while I’m using it, so I truly appreciate the post it trick! I’ll start using it this week haha!

My father in law passed just a few years ago. He went to disney every year to 2 years from about 1975 to 2016 at which point his health would not allow the big trip from canada to florida. Between trips, we spent Saturday's watching and listening to dfb, he loved the updates, even after he knew that he could not go again. My wife and i recently went and it was bittersweet as we thought of him a lot and his love of disneyworld

I do split stays. I plan them so I stay at the value hotel over the weekend and the luxury resort Sunday through Thursday, if possible. Weekend prices are often higher, so at least I am paying the lesser prices charged by the luxury places.

Not only ILLs are excluded from redemption passes but many of the E-ticket rides, too.

Certain more popular rides with complex systems have a tendency to go down, such as the trackless dark rides like remy's and rise of the resistance. Keep an eye out for when they reopen. There is a limited window when the ride reopens, and you can hop on with a smaller wait time before everyone realizes it reopened. That happened to me for remy's when it went down, and I was able to get in line and only wait about 30 mins. When I got out of the ride, the wait time jumped up to 75.

Swan and Dolphin add a "resort fee" to the daily charge - and do they charge for parking? Don't forget the $30 for parking at Ticket and Transportation or Animal Kingdom either. Split stay? We did Pop Century and Disney sent our bags to Shades of Green so that is included, too.

Since they moved the Food and Wine event to the week before Labor Day we will be there for opening weekend certainly didn’t plan it that way. Don’t want to just skip Epcot as we won’t be back for a while, but at least won’t be doing the very first day of the festival.

You often suggest to get the first reservation of the day to be allowed in to the park extra early, what about the final time slot? We are looking at tusker house and their final time slot for the day is only 15 mins before close. What’s your experience with this? Is the food decent still? I would rather eat their dinner than breakfast, and not waste a lot of our park time to do so.

The first time I met a character (Mary Poppins) i completly froze, and i could have had a private photo shoot! but they were super sweet! I said, "no thank you I'm just happy to have seen her" thank you AJ about brining up the "No line" thing, but here's a tip for Port Orleans French Quarter, GO AS EARLY as you can! That's what we tried to do and it was great! Also sorry to hear about your Dad AJ I lost my grandpa in November 2020 and it still hurts. Also as a very punctual person; PLEASE DONT be late, it makes you look bad! As someone who can't drive, doesn't understand the "OH SORRY I WAS LATE BECAUSE THIS: NO!
