Right! Seriously, how could anyone sleep up in a glass home, 2700 ft above a shark-invested ocean, hanging over the edge of a rocky cliff? With just one hurricane, a week of relentless rain, a minor earthquake, a house fire, or just one house party to many, anyone living in the Cliff House has maybe five years of life expectancy. Not even one word about a parachute for emergency evacuation. Not a hang-glider, nothing.

I'll tell you what, most of these tiny homes nowadays are such a rip-off. Want to charge you around $100,000? LOL so much I paid to have my three-bedroom Brick House on 2 Acres. Showing people crappy little sheds for 50 or 60 Grande ridiculous. Tiny house should be around Thirty or forty thousand at most

That egg shape building is like an igloo it's just made out of fiberglass I came out with that design on my own when I was a teenager in the 1960s and everybody thought I was insane now all these years later it's going to become popular it looks like a streamline camper with no wheels no tongue and it's short. Mine was the size of a igloo made out of fiberglass the reason I designed it was because of the tornadoes we used to get in Illinois Wisconsin Michigan and we just obliterate regular family homes this design would be anchored to the ground and a tornado has nothing to get underneath it it has nothing to grab so it'll just go right over the top of it with no damage or very little damage and it got put on the back burner. I wish I could come up with my drawings and my designs for the outside and the inside it was very simple and cheap to make and very comfortable if you did the right comfort of home.

The Gov't could buy them folding houses for the homeless people they have in Calif, I'm sure they would be grateful being in 1. The retreat house is pretty cool, but the price is CRAZY. Damn the solar dome house is awesome, I could live in it. I like the wing house, that's 1 I'm sure a homeless family wouldn't mind living in, & the gov't could put a bunch of them on a 100 acre piece of land for all the homeless.

This video say it was posted at 1 yr ago, but projections within state that 20 percentage of humans "will be age 65 by 2020", so it may be older than 3yrs. Many innovative cool designs, but how does one dispose of their waste, dealing with gray water, not a problem, but access to fresh water and disposal of black water might be a problem, and many environmental,sensitive areas require a septic system, and hook up to the grid, not to mention do they conform to building codes, dealing with extreme weather conditions and fires…

Hot climates need white houses to reflect the heat. The best paint fir such a house is the ceramic paint feveloped by NASA's space ship industry. It has R value of iver 38. In 1997 you could buy it in Canada for $40.00 a gallon.

Doesn't this design remind you of a certain movie The Modern time machine movie where they lived on the side of a mountain or a cliff with these same shape design I don't think I'd like to be dangling from a rocky surface thinking that the anchors are going to hold all that weight and someday it's going to fail hopefully you're not home when it does because if there's an earthquake of any kind and it shakes enough it will shake that anchor loose. Not a good idea dangling up that high thinking you're going to be safe.

Some interesting. The problem is where would you put it? You'd have to be super rich to be able to afford the land to place it. Then acquire local planning permission, which historically takes months even years. Although good ecological living it's got to be really affordable!

Ever since I heard the music of Andreas Vollenweider from his Caverna-Magica CD I've longed for a life of cave dwelling with Planet of the Apes flair. When I was a kid we toured the Foam Dome Home which only reinforced the coolness factor of this mode of living. That $9,000 dome home really hits all the cylinders for best price for quirkiness. Second runners up are the one near Mexico City and those space ship shaped homes. I mean who wouldn't want to live in the Lost in Space original flying saucer? Do we get to commute in a Snow Cat RV/camper?

Hanging out off a cliff with a building pinned to that cliff has several advantages if oneself is a thrill seeker.... Or those with a little bit of a death wish ... 😱...... I'll be ab-sailing off and down a cliff or rock climbing up it but to put my home (very expensive home) hanging out off a cliff.... Hell No..

I think it must be okay if such Houses Exist in Life(a Human's Creativity), a choice of ownself(as long as not evil-looking), a Stylish Look, adding Harmonious Trade and Networking can be More Successful. Currently is like Too Much Rulism Attitude i call it, Like Losing Alot of Pleasure by Fact - we all would want to have boatrides, fishing, isle-visits(boats) like a Daily "Go Out To A Tree and Pluck A Fruit" kind of Life. I think if Having "Respected Ruling" is then Enough for a Harmonious(at Least) Life.

I think if a Pleasant Designs to Mix in an Area of Empty Forest(like 15yrs empty) to call It "Generation Town"(as it is about Life becoming Higher), near Sea or River will be Nice 1 day(about "having other house" maybe with special feeds of Chicken at least and Fishpond).

I'd buy an off-grid Ship to turn into a Mobile Land Fort/Bunker Home on wheels so I can drive on/off Road or Float on any water way in the USA to be safe form An Extreme Ice Age or A World Flood + I can move my Landship form Land to Land that I Rent/Park on if need be + my Landship will be safe for my Family if stopped in Bad Traffic + I will have Bathrooms/ an Indoor Playground/a place to get/read books/a nice place/bed to sleep in + Thank You KZfaq for All You Do For Me

Buying an old boat cabin cruiser would be the smartest thing to do and turn it into a floating home. These people that have a lot of money are trying to get into the tiny home business now building a little bit bigger building but what are the taxes going to cost on that home they're over $100,000 for 400 ft that's nuts the idea of the tiny home is to get away from those astronomical costs the taxes that people are paying for Real Estate just to sleep in your home watch TV in your home you don't entertain that much you cook once in awhile the cost is insane Hollywood wants to buy homes like that and they make all that money making movies knock your socks off don't expect to rest of us to get caught up in another trap of greed. They're just going to Skyrock against the cost the more you let them infiltrate your ideas it takes away a person's ability to create themselves get your hands dirty cut some wood buy a nail gun learn how to work with concrete it's simple now to learn these things on the internet and trial and error there are so many recyclable products out there that you can gather up yourself from people that have small businesses that sell used doors used tubs used windows used paneling there are trading post and you can really get stuff at a good price by bargaining with the person because you're going to come back and want to buy more material from that person the business and it's good products that need to be recycled they're bathtubs sinks closet doors closets porches what they called decks nowadays we call them a porch. Man I remember when things were simple I worked with my dad my grandpa my mother my grandmother's on both sides of each family my mom's side my dad's side and I learned a ton of things by being involved and being trained on the job it was fun I enjoyed it kids today have it too easy it's done for them mommy and daddy spoiled their children and their children will never learn to be independent and that is sad.

Engaging, I love your idea. I do not have 100;s of thousands either. I do work on KZfaq, after all. But I'll put in a lot of time anf effort into a project. Anyone will save cash by being resourceful and putting in work themself. I would take on a project as big as this. Live on the water sounds nice too. Only lack of time keeps me from renovation projects nowadays. That is how I started this channel back in 2008. Posting projects remodeling, building, and that eventually evolved into this. I love creating videos now, just the same. The irony is that making videos is why I have no time to do the things that started this channel. I sure appreciate you sharing ideas, though. I been so busy this is the first time in months I have had time to read comments. I feel inspired. Thank you!
