the thing I started doing, to simplify, is keeping a 60 seconds rule. if I see something, that needs to be done, and I can do it within 60 seconds I do it.

I try to do the same. I also have begun to adopt this mindset of identifying what’s bothering me and trying to change it, starting with what’s in my house because all that is the easiest to change and surprisingly really affects my mood and productivity. Can be as small as the dishes stink every time I’m near the sink. Well then do them already! Or as big as, I don’t like this aspect of my job and trying to grow past it with education or finding a new job. It can also be applied to relationships and social life. Got it from Jordan Peterson.

What I've done once, is I logged in to the photo center from my phone, loaded a bunch of photos I wanted to print from my phone, and ordered prints! Omg!!!!! Why have I not done that before?!!!! For some reason I was waiting for a good time to transfer the pictures to my desktop computer.... just do it from your phone straight to the printing service....

Now that in working from home I've recently decided to focus on going for a walk in the morning and going outside during breaks and over lunch to soak up some sun. I also like to do chores during the week so j di'nt have to do them on my days off. That is easier working from home too, I think.

All excellent and I will be putting some of these to work today, thank you so much! Just to add to the breathing, if you take time to practice either deep breathing or box breathing, (in - twothreefour hold - twothreefour out - twothreefour hold - twothreefour) ( I call it waltz breathing) it will be immensely helpful when you get anxious or hurt yourself as you will just start breathing like that without thinking. I practice at least ten minutes a day and it has helped decrease the time of my panic attacks so much.

I don't know how can I go for a walk anymore. Before I am really a extrovert but when I realize that I enjoy the silence in my own room, and I'm more comfortable alone, I don't go outside anymore. I don't know, it feels like I have a social anxiety now. I remember when my mom and I go outside, I'm not comfortable and I notice that my hands are shaking, and I'm just looking down, scared to meet people eyes.. I don't know what happened to me, I really thought before that maybe I'm just really introvert, but when I go outside I remember the signs of "social anxiety" that I've read online, and it's really defined me.

Great tips for especially like myself with 7 th grader, 10th grader grandchildren and their mom living here. To husband and adult son with stay at home. My daughter works from home. My husband goes in. But everyone finds the skill to know I’m the go to. When’s dinner to where are you! Quiet time, hydrate and focus!

I keep my phone on mute for everything except phone calls. If someone calls me it is probably important. And very few spam calls get through my filter. Everything that isn't a phone call must not be that important. Even at work, when someone texts me... If it is truly important they will call and if I don't respond to texts right away I MUST be working too hard to notice... Or so they can assume.

Something that I do is to never leave the room empty-handed. I forgot which KZfaqr mentioned this, but since then, I have always scanned the room I’m in before leaving and taken with me anything that doesn’t belong and placed it in its proper location. If it’s a cup in a bedroom and I’m planning to get a snack, then I’ll drop off the cup since I’m going to the kitchen anyway. It’s a mindful habit that becomes second-nature with time and I love it!

Focusing on one thing at a time is a little more difficult when you’re a parent, I will say that. There’s so much going on in our brains! For example if I took a walk with my kids, it’s great to try and focus on the trees and the nature around me, but part of my brain also needs to be focusing on the safety of my children. If I am working at home, and my kids are home, my focus is always divided. It’s hard; not impossible, but hard.

carrying a water bottle is the best advice. Not only it reminds u to drink, but also the more u drink, the less you carry... lol also I like the advice on timing yo tasks esp annoying ones. Like decluttering photos etc. 10 min a day is totally doable. But I put it off EVERY day bc when I just think about how much needs to be done, I don't do it at all.

One thing I do to simplify is dedicate a small corner of my closet to a Donate Box. Every time I come across something that I don’t need/want anymore, I put it in the Donate box immediately. Then when I buy something that comes in a box, I take the old one to Goodwill and replace it with the new box. Helps keep the stuff moving out of your house, and is great for when I get a gift or purchase something that replaces an item I don’t need anymore. I know right where it goes!

Ashlynne Eaton Hi Ashlynne, Meghan sent me over as well :). The minute you said in your video, “if you want to learn to declutter and be more organized then go ahead and subscribe” that is exactly what I did. My thing is that I STRUGGLE REALLY HARD in doing those things, I know I have to do it and I do want to do it, I just lack the motivation and I can’t find the motivation. So if you can help me with that I would really appreciate it!!

That’s so awesome Krystal! There are plenty of videos on my channel that might help with decluttering inspiration or motivation, but the biggest advice I can offer is to try finding someone you know to act as your accountability partner. Having someone push you in a loving, encouraging way is one of the greatest motivators! 🤍

Everything sounded great except the airplane mode when sleeping. The few times my phone accidentally was turned to silent, an emergency happened and people were desperately trying to get a hold of me. So that can end up being a real regret that you will have to live with.

I took a quick second to pause this vid and do the following: Photo Purge Add Screen/ App Limits Limit Notifications Utilize Unroll me Just those few things and I feel a sense of relief just knowing I won't be so distracted by my phone. Don't know why I never did this sooner

I am a slight minimalistic person...... I go thru my entire house at least every 3 or 4 months and throw away multiple trash bags full of stuff or donate and dont like to take in or buy things that I dont truly believe would be loved ....... And in my personal opinion, I do not want to upset anyone because I'm not meaning this in a rude way at all like I said I am a very minimalistic person but in my opinion I think that a lot of minimalism is really more of OCD issues then it is mindfulness and that doesn't go for everybody but I think it does for a lot of people including myself for me even though I want to be a mindful person I think it has more to do with the fact that I don't like clutter and I don't like things that are just sitting around the house that are not going to be used🤗🤗 does anyone else feel this way?
