I picked up a hitchhiker last night. He seemed surprised that I was willing to pick him up at all. He said to me, "Thanks for the ride, but aren't you afraid that I might be a serial killer?" I studied him for a moment and simply replied, "the chances of two serial killers being in the same car would be astronomical." ;)

I was about four or five years old when a tornado tore through my neighborhood. My mom and aunt described the sound of the storm coming like it was a giant freight train. I vividly remember being crushed under the weight of both my mother and my father, who got on top of me in a bathtub, both of them praying to God that, if our house got hit by the storm, for it to take them and not me. We all got lucky that day, because our side of the street wasn’t hit badly, but our across the street neighbors’ home, a brick house, was demolished. Thankfully, it’s elderly residents weren’t home at the time.

Boyfriend just broke up with me after 4 years and I get an almost 4 hour long Mortis video to keep my mind off it. Thank you for uploading just in time ❤

I'm concerned by the 2nd story. Why was the friends dad so chill about an 18yr old creeping around outside of a 13 year olds house? Why was it so anticlimactic? Why weren't the police called immediately? These are bad parents. 😂

6 hours of Mort! Kind of makes wonder what kind of bedtime stories you tell to Pandora.

This occurrence happened around September in 2011. It was a pretty normal night. I had stayed at home with my 3 sisters because my parents had gone out to the bar which they’d done every weekend since I was very young. Now, I live in a pretty average four bedroom, two bathroom Home with two stories. Upon entry the stairs are to your right and a large set of collapsible doors are to your left. These lead into the living room. Attached to the stairs is a closet with a white door which runs under the stairs. This information is important to the story because this is where it all happened. Well my parents had left, so my sisters and I had sat down on the couch in the living room which faced the doors and stairs, and turned on a tv show. This is what we did nightly. As we sat watching the tv show, we heard a loud slam. It was almost loud enough to wake someone from a dead sleep. We all jumped, having no clue what the noise could’ve been. Then, out of fear, we all bunched together on the couch as close as we could. About 30 seconds later, we heard a very distinct squeaking sound. We all had known that the only door in the house that really squeaked was The closet door attached to the stairs. As we looked over at the closet, we saw the door slowly opening. And almost simultaneously, a howdy doody lunch box, which we still have to this day, flew down the stairs and straight in front of the closet door. Even more scared than before , we all threw the blanket over our heads. We sat there in fear until we had fallen asleep. Nothing ever came of this, and we never really spoke of it. This hadn’t been the only odd occurrence though. A few weeks later, close to one in the morning, my second oldest sister had left her bedroom to get a drink. All of the kids rooms were upstairs. As she headed down the stairs, she saw our father, dressed in a black shirt and white shorts walk from the front door of our home, into the living room. She said he just stood there, as if he had fallen asleep while walking . She called out his name, “dad”! No response. Once more she called for him, “dad”! And once more, no response . After a minute of watching him stand there, she continued down the stairs. As she did so, he continued to walk, first into the dining room , then the kitchen. As he walked into the kitchen , my sister heard his bedroom door open, so she looked over. From the room came my father, dressed in a white shirt and black shorts, half asleep with no clue as to what was going on. My sister, in a panic looked in the kitchen and saw nothing. She told my father what had happened, so he searched the house and found nothing. To this day, We have no clue what caused these occurrences, but we are sure they had something to do with a paranormal existence in our home . Since then nothing has really happened in our home aside from the occasional sounds of moving furniture we’ve heard through the floors, even when there’s nobody upstairs. All of my sisters have moved out since these things happened but I still live in this home with my parents. We have since then found out that the owner of our home, previous to the owners before us, had hung himself in the basement directly under the closet by the stairs. I can only imagine what went on in this house before my family moved in, and I’m not trying to stay to find out .
