0:16 Гулять -is ''to walk', not to enjoy oneself... It confused myself and my Russian skype tutor when I tried to tell her I enjoyed my time with her, lol

No it means to take a stroll. To walk is idti or xodit depending on direction.

Yeah... Funny. Actually in my case I walked and enjoyed together with my Russian teacher a few years ago...)) But yes you're right! I wanted to say the same. Also the first pronunciation (of the man) is strange imho while the second (of the woman) is standard.

Actually it is both 'to take a walk/stroll' and 'to have fun'. There is a saying 'гулять так гулять', which refers to have fun without holding back. Want some more Russian videos?

@@JoytanApp гулять as 'to have fun' is very rare and heavily depends on context while 'to walk/stroll' is general. Гулять as 'to have fun' came from "to take a walk to place of celebrations/carnival"(народные гуляния) Same with "сидеть" where "to sit" meaning is general and to stay meaning is situational and mostly used as "to stay sitting here" except rare and depended on context "being in jail" meaning

Excellent. As one learns a bit more, one can see the percentage of verbs one passively understands slowly increase..:) (I am at about 5% at the moment, so I shall be listening to this many times). This traditional way of repeating vocabulary still has its role in language learning. The man reading the words makes me chortle (no offence I hope). He sounds so like what I imagine a Russian to sound like, like a character out of a Dostoyevsky novel:)

A long list of verbs is not helpful unless there is an example for each one. Studying a list is not a productive use of time.
