If you want a version that puts a shiver up your spine maybe you'd like to try Jackie De Shannon's version. Still, it's hard to beat Mary's for sheer power. One of my favourite female singers from the '60s. Thanks for posting this.

Where is unknown, at an educated guess New York or Los Angeles seeing how she was still contracted with Warner Brothers. Album Title: "All My Choices" released in 1973.
