Role models are such an important part of life, society as a whole really lacks them; not that there aren't great people doing great things to look up to, but on a personal level, I don't have anyone I'd consider a role model. One of my best friends is trans, and her coming out is what made me question my own identity, but I don't see her as a role model. She's a little over a year ahead of me in transition, and she's got as much to figure out as I do. We don't live anywhere near each other either which is really tough. I live in a fairly liberal town in a very conservative state, and the trans community exists mostly at the university here, and I graduated before moving here anyway. I look for inspiration here on youtube, or on reddit for people to look up too. Love the content as always.
