500-year-old paintings from Italian master found

The Vatican says it has found two paintings that master artist Raphael started prior to his death almost 500 years ago. CNN's Delia Gallagher reports.

Perhaps because the Vatican was built on top of a Goddess site to the Goddess Vaticana? The "Holy" Roman Catholic church was built on the blood of women (quite literally the destruction of Goddess based Cultures) right up through the "witch" burnings of MILLIONS of women. All of who's property and land they took. No mention or painting of them anywhere, just the hording of wealth and granted gorgeous propaganda art like this.

There seems to be a misunderstanding. The answer to question 1 should be True . The text clearly states: "Raphael, who painted these famous frescos in three rooms at the Vatican..." This confirms that Raphael did indeed paint in three different rooms at the Vatican. So, option (a) - True - is the correct answer and not the option (b) for question 1

ah "restoration" aka the early destruction of a painting. I wish we could let the painting live and die instead of trying to "restore" it. I found out how ridiculous the idea is when I tried to restore one of my own pastel paintings that i had accidentally scraped. If the original artist can't restore their own painting then how would someone else. Much less the paintings of someone considered to be one of the greatest artist of all time. Wipe the dirt off of the surface, try to take care of it, other than that , leave it alone. Paintings are not eternal objects nor should they be.

Painting/drawing and restoring are two completely separate fields... you have no idea what you are talking about

@@user-rc7wz7me1l The fact that they are separate fields is not really a counter argument to my point. The effect of the painting is conveyed through the sum of its marks, getting a mark 'wrong' has the potential to ruin the effect. An artist is someone who looks at the painting and judges if the effect is conveyed is correct. Replacing or changing marks on the painting such that the correct effect is still conveyed is difficult even for the artist. For someone other than the artist it is almost impossible, furthermore , they would not even know if they had ruined it because they are not the one who holds the proper judgement of the effect.
