I really like using teumesia with him. Her burn can not only go through the poison clouds, but it stays on if you kill a head with her a2, as well as the dec speed if they have low turn meter. She also does pretty crazy damage with her a3, about 2m a pop. The end split is around 300m rathalos, 200m teumesia, 100m bambus(cursed set). Great to see skraank working well since he's much more accessible.

Your knowledge of anything Hydra has my intrest. I always go to you for Hydra as I feel you are the foremost expert.

found sicia as a hex dec def and weaken partner to be insanely good with rath. criminally underrated champ ratholos has been imo

Rathalos and Artak on Curse set also works wonders, Artak will constantly put the hex with all those AOE

Would love to see a video on the newer Sylvan champ Firrol for hydra. Don’t see much on him but I just pulled him going for the archer.

Finally a team I actually have all the members to make work... Now the gear I probably won't be able to get going but still a nice team.

FYI, Mithrala's passive makes it where you don't have to build her with Resist. Only stack Accuracy.

(4 months later..) building up Skraank.. got a Lilitu.. Tried Rath, Skraank (not finished masteries), Uugo, Shamael, Mithrala… With Psylar (provoke) - Rath dies by 8m.. got it saved incase I can ever get it right 😪

So I got lucky with my Rathalos forge pass and can actually put Rathalos Blademaster in 9-piece Rathalos set, would this be a viable way to gear him even though he isn't 100% AOE damage? The stats aren't half bad, 215 speed, almost 300% crit damage, 5k+ attack. I've had pretty bad luck getting good Merciless pieces from Sintranos, thoughts?

Emic, two Painkeeper (in curse set), venus, duchess in 9 piece protect, rathalos. Great full auto team with nobody getting eaten

haven't managed to get 500M quite yets, not even half, trying Sulfuryion instead of Skraank but missing out on the weaken, going to put Lydia in the team next week in a guardian set

Love your content bro. If you ever want to have fun doin a takeover for hydra, I have end game account, I can 1 key all hydras but i have the champs i should be doin a ton of damage with ie Acrizia, Sulfy, Archer, etc. with 20mil pp. Just an option if you want! Have a great day :)

I run Ignatius, Venus, Artak, and Ultimate Galek with Rathalos. Then again, these are the only HP BURN champs I have at my disposal at the moment but I am not complaining! lol

I lucked my way to pull Nekmo and pushed hard for Archer in the tournament, should I use both in the same team or in separate teams? Since Archer kind of does everything Nekmo can do and I could get a more valuable speed booster in there.

I use him with sicia and soulless. Because sicia reduces the burn count I brought in soulless to extend it lock down the head of decay and do good damage

i can pull about 100 mill on hard, and i use artak in a provoke set, he does the burn and brings the decrease attack and the ability to pop his own burns. but i use rathlos in a relentless and 4 piece rathalos set, so he gets soo much turn meter and extra turns

man im getting some dirty thoughts right now, watching this, since rathalos is the same faction as ronda, im almost wanting to see if i can put rondas gear on rathalos, she's got my best damage gear, and who i use in arena and such, only issue is i'd have to get him 60'd and get masteries, as i just got my arbiter and got her 60'd only problem is not having provoke so i'd have to manual.

Must be nice to have 6 pcs of merciless thats worth using. Ive beat 90% of hard and 100% normal since its been out and i dont have 6pcs worth using. My rng isn't just awful on shards and rolling gear. Its awful on getting gwar aswell........ trifecta from plarium......

i got myself a 3* soul, i also have skraank. i will try and make a better hydra team with those two after i finish mastering up my dreng for sand devil team with godseeker.

I think you overlooked the importance of Uugo’s heal and nekmo’s leech. Without the healing from those, and no reviver, this team wipes. I can’t believe the number of times I’ve assembled what I think will be an MVP team only to realize all the big damage gets trashed without someone keeping them healed up.

Counter attacks / ally attacks don’t actually increase his damage any more than they do for anyone else… everyone looks at it wrong… it increases the number of turns, therefore increasing how many times the passive activated, but makes it more likely to land in an A1, which exactly balances it out… his passive basically just adds 40% damage overall when you do the math (unless you are speed tuning him and counting attacks to time it right) you have to look at it this way…on average, during a long fight like Hydra, 1/5th of his A1’s will get the bonus, 1/5th of his A2’s and 1/5th if his A3’s… so adding more A1’s (counter/ally attacks) won’t add to the number of A2’s that get the bonus… it’s just that 1/5th if his counterattacks will also get the bonus… and so his passive just basically adds 40% to his damage, and that’s it… (200% / 5)
