Great video, I have the 5075M and its a great tractor, handles a 435 baler just fine. The big diffence is the 75M has a beefier rearend and a better layout out the operator station, and I love the deluxe air ride floating and swivel seat.

Great review. I also own a 5075e and learned a few things by watching this video. I farm around 60 acres of alfalfa and it has plenty of power to run my 10ft swather. I also have a New Holland 575 square baler and the 5075 might be a bit underpowered in terms of PTO horsepower, but it gets the job done. I also bought a 7 ft snow blade for the winter and it does a great job plowing, we got around 3 feet this year. I have around 400 hours on it so far with no issues. Great utility tractor that has heavy duty features for my ag work.

Good to hear Damon!!! I moved about 82 rolls of hay today with it... One of the best tractors I've ever operated. I think the power reverser is a little jumpy though. Im going to see if there is a way to adjust it.

I like the fan. Down here in Louisiana the AC will struggle a bit when it is 100+ degrees and the sun it up high. Thinking of building a false roof to help insulate. I also put RH door hardware on mine. Had to do some hole elongation for it to shut right, so mine wasn't just a bolt up. The benefit is: if you have to move the loader for some reason, you don't climb on the tractor. I also have the mirrors, front fenders, and, flairs. I like the moved throttle and PTO switch. As far as the lights, it does have a plug for implements. My 1812F Bush Hog comes with hazard and tail lights (John Deere charges you 450 bucks for a light kit!!!). I also installed a beacon for added safety. I can see fine at night with just the headlights. I have thought about putting a strip of LEDs on top of the grill guard though. Where is your SMV triangle? It is the law here for HWY use. For a grapple, check out Rake Master out of Florida. Mine is awesome. You'll never know how much you'll use one until you have one. And the 5065E is turbo and the 75E is turbo intercooled I think? At least my year model was. And I LOVE the high speed PTO. It handles my 12 foot bat wing Bush Hog no problem!!! Also, if they have not revised the linkage for the PTO gear change, it is a bit awkward to operate. The geometry of the linkage is a off. If you can't get it to move, you have to dismount and go around back and move the linkage. Mine was a year old when I bought it with 162 hrs. It has a bit over 400 on it now. The 1-4 shifter handle vibrated a bit at first, it is it all but gone now. Keep the windows closed when dusty. Your AC will thank you. BTW have fun changing the inside AC filter on the RH side!!! BTW hydrostat is a fuel hog. I have a buddy that has an orange tractor. He sold it and went with the shuttle. Don't think mine has the screens. If I can add them, I will!!! Nice tiller!

Good video scott. I'm dealing on a 5075e right now I currently have a 55a case open station and these winters up in canada are just too long and hard to keep freezing my butt off. . Also I'm running a 3 point hitch chopper for feeding calves and the 55 is not quite enough power for it. I'm thinking the 75e will be the last tractor I'll have to buy and it'll do everything I need. Thanks for the in depth walk through.

I have a 1996 JD 5300, but I’m tired of fighting heat, cold, dust, bugs, and sunburn. I pull an MX10 brush hog up some pretty steep hills and I want more power. Not sure what new model cab tractor to get. My 5300 has performed nearly flawlessly, only needing a diesel engine “shut off solenoid” in nearly 1800 hours of fairly tough use.
@theweekendfarmer7513

I think you would be happy with a 5065e or 5075e. The 5075 has plenty of power!! Most of the time I pulled the 12' batwing in economy 540 PTO, which is only about 1700rpm. saves a lot of fuel!! You'll love the cab. Best decision you'll ever make!!!

Morning Scott. Looking hard at a 2018 5065e. It only has 174 hours but hasn't had an oil change yet. Would you be concerned? It was on rental from the dealer coming back in. Didn't work hard.
@theweekendfarmer7513
@theweekendfarmer7513 3 жыл бұрын
David Mashtoler No I wouldn’t be concerned... I think the book recommends 200 hours... I believe I changed mine the first time about 160-170. Something in that area. I’m always careful not to take the break in oil out to early. So 174 is about right. Especially if it hasn’t been worked hard, because it’s still not broke in. I would change it now... then maybe again in another 100 hours or so. Then go on 200 hour intervals after that. Sounds like a bargain!!! The new ones have got stupid expensive!!!!

Anybody else have trouble with a rattle coming thru the shift lever or the shift lever itself? Small thing, I know but, maybe it can be fixed? It's a nice tractor for a small landowner-I use it for food plots, mowing, spraying, etc. Plenty of power, and does everything I ask it to.
@ForkinCrazy
@ForkinCrazy 5 жыл бұрын
Yea, mine did it pretty loudly when I bought it at 162 hrs. Now at 400 you can barely hear it. It has screws on the bottom to remove it (torx if I remember right). I have messed with that and plan on adding something to dampen it. Perhaps a squirt or two from a hot glue gun.

I just bought an 5082E in South America. I wanted a 5075E with PowrReverser. That is not possible here, so the only way to get it was getting the 5082E. I can't find much on that model anywhere else. Also the 5090E is available here. Well, now I have to feed the 4,5L 4 Zylinder with fuel. Things could be worse...
@theweekendfarmer7513
@theweekendfarmer7513 2 жыл бұрын
Congratulations!!!! I bet the fuel usage won’t be to bad! Depending on what your doing. I think the three cylinder uses more sometimes because it’s working harder than a 4 cylinder would.

I’m trying to decide on which tractor to go with...the 5065 or 5075. Do you find the 10 extra HP is worth the extra money? I assume the 10 extra HP does not give you more lifting capacity?
@theweekendfarmer7513
@theweekendfarmer7513 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Rodd, It depends on what you are going to do with the tractor...It will not give you any more lifting capacity, same hydraulic pump. If you are going to use a big bush hog, or bale hay, you need all you can get... A good rule of thumb is to use a smaller percentage of your horsepower, and in theory it should last longer. Honestly, I hardly ever take mine out of 540E PTO...So I may actually save fuel over a 5065E that you may have to run at full throttle.

@theweekendfarmer7513
@theweekendfarmer7513 2 жыл бұрын
You can do a forced parked regeneration, or leave it in auto and it will regenerate while your working. when it does it you will get another light on the dash, like a red exclamation mark. just keep working, keep the tractor running until it finishes and the light will go off. Just leave it in auto and you'll be fine. Just remember don't cut the tractor off while its regenerating. You can park, or keep working, just don't turn it off till its done.

Let me start with saying I love my 5075!! and its perfect for the work I do with it!!!....I haven't baled hay with mine...Ive have always heard that it will run hot baling hay...Just with my experience I would say you will have to clean the radiator every couple hours...Ive been talking a leaf blower with me everyday...The 5085 is a four cylinder!!!.. the 5075 is a three cylinder, both are turbo with an intercooler. The four cylinder motors are way better and worth the extra money!!! If you have it to spend... Go with the 5085!!! If you can get a 5085 or 5090 with the hi/low transmission. I believe its 32/16. You basically can split a gear from high to low without clutch. Thats what you need to round bale!!! Trust me.. If you don't buy it now, your just gonna trade for it later!! Good Luck!

M is a more expensive tractor with more options. E is John Deeres Economy model. In my opinion, for the extra money a M series tractor cost, you could buy a 5090E or 5100E. More power is usually always the better option. Both of those have the longer lasting four cylinder diesel as opposed to the 5075E's three cylinder diesel. Also have more standard options, like more SCV's. You get more bang for your buck with an E Series tractor. M's and R's are really nice, but usually out of my price range.

Around $46,000...Depending on where you buy it. I give $43000 2 years ago. I think there is a model built in the US and a different model built in India... The tractor that is made in India is a lot nicer, with a lot more options than the one we have here, and I'm guessing more expensive...I wish I could get the India model here. In the states we have to buy a 5090e to get the same options.
