It's not about them being bothers, of course, if the incest part were gone, people will stay ship them, because they are truly soulmates, even platonically, because the J2 have actually some chemistry acting togheter that made a stellar act of how their bond it's. So exactly same stories, Sam and Dean are childhood friend? People will love it still. Because it's not about the taboo, it's for the understanding and not on debate relationships they have.

The definition of soulmate is a person who deeply understands you and is perfectly suited to be in a loving relationship with you. Soulmates aren't always romantic, even friends can be soulmates. Dean and Sam are soulmates because they are always number 1 to rachother and even end up sharing their heaven when they die

Ew no. Destiel is the most boring and nonsensical ship in the Supernatural fandom. I don't get why ppl ship a toxic, unrequited love and meh pair over one full of mutual love, self-sacrifice, chemistry, development, layers, and much more... You know the relationship that the whole show is based on. Like what show did y'all (Destiel shippers) watch? Because the one I did was built on Sam and Dean's relationship, not Castiel and Dean's. Wincest came to life after the first episode even though everybody knew they were brothers but it didn't matter bc ppl saw more in their relationship meanwhile Destiel took several episodes to take flight... I wonder why.
