You could also use polycrylic instead of Jo Sonja. It works as well. Thank you for taking the time to do the measuring and experimenting for us. It is a bunch of work but thankful you are so willing to share with us.

I think it is beautiful. I truly appreciate you taking the time to fully show us what is needed and how to mix up everything for a Piggy Dutch Pour. I will be watching again to add the recipes to the "Kanella" section of my art bible I have been making. Having it with all the different tabs really helps. I can find the artist I may be looking for, much easier. 💕🤗

Amazon sells wide mouth 24oz size squeeze bottles with lids, great for any mixture you want to make up in larger batches. I always add a marble to help mix the contents I always give everything a shake before using it again. The wide mouth allows mixing or cleaning.

This _muted phantom_ is growing on me Kanella😉 With the colour palette not obviously jumping off the canvas it's one of those mixes that can be hung anywhere. The *surprise* is when one steps closer and all the hidden shimmer *dazzles* A high-5 heading your way😋😁 [Thanks for the Dutch Pour recipe - you *know* we appreciate all your work _in the lab_ ]

If anyone can't use or get the josonja, one coat polyurethane by minwax works amazing too. I use that with the liquitex basics heavy gloss gel medium and it works great. I use that because I'm not in an area with access to that Behr. Also, the color choice was different but I actually absolutely love it! Turned out great and can't wait to see the dried results!

I have the shelee art course, but that's, I believe is the only choice for 🇺🇲 maybe you can talk to that lady, about another option. I hear someone say valspare 2000, but I've tried it...I don't think that look equivalent. Now you can use your piggies 🐷 for a Dutch pours yeah!

This color palette is very different, but it really is beautiful! I tried using the Golden Gel in my TLPs for Dutch pouring and found that they all cracked as they dried. The gel dries quicker, so when used with my tube colors, (that didn’t have gel added), that drying time inconsistency made a mess of some beautiful pours 🥺. I’ll give the Behr 8300 a try cuz you need that thicker additive with the Floetrol to get the piggies to the right consistency. Thanks for sharing Kanella!

Hey Kanella, the reason you got 'fluffy' edges is because you put a piggy down first. You really need an opaque under it to lift and hold the pigment ❤️
@KanellaCiracoArt
@KanellaCiracoArt Жыл бұрын
When I did the black base tester I put a piggie down first on that one and that didn’t happen. So I don’t think that’s it.

@@KanellaCiracoArt piggies will sit on top of black and shine better. I'm not sure of the science of it but I know I have the exact same issue when doing blooms and not placing piggy on top of an opaque first. Try it again on the white base but with paint first then a piggy ☺️❤️

I am not having success in doing Dutch pours. Yours are always so gorgeous. I try to follow all of your and Tammy Anderson and yes a lot of others videos. I spend most days just watching videos trying to learn as much as possible about the fluid art paintings and to do the techniques I really love the most. I think the Behr is what’s causing the foggy expansion effects. It’s a varnish expander so it’s going to thin the Amsterdam acrylic too. Maybe try on a Behr base or house paint base? Worth an experiment. 😊

I really liked the colours, but not keen (yet) on the end result! I think the proof of this will be the dry result, so looking forward to seeing that. And just another tip to mix TLPs - the wisdom is to put the JoSonja varnish in first, then the pigment so that you don't get pigment stuck in the edges of the cup - just makes it easier to ensure good mixing!

Hi Kanella! I so love watching your videos and learning how to pour. I just finished watching this video and have a question. To confirm, Piggy Pouring Medium is 3:1 ratio of Floetrol & Behr 8300. To mix piggy, add 1 gr piggy to 5 gms Josonya and mix well. Then add 5 gm of pouring medium. How much Piggy, Josonya & pouring medium to fill a LOLIVEFE mini-bottle (135 ml). Does that use a whole lot of Piggy? Thank you so much for all you do for your subscribers!

Hello Hun I think it's cool looking and the yellow actually adds a pop to the beautiful blow out and pigments 👍! Im going to ask this ? Do you think it expands and has a hazy look to it because most of the pigments usually are used with the base being a White house paint which of course is the bloom so do you think using your reg Titanium white w- floetrol and not house paint could make this effect ? And you could really do a beautiful piece with the pigments and paint in the colors of a stormy sky throughout the whole canvas and then embellish it with lightning streaks and rain drops through out but very minimal I think that would be stunning because I think the painting today is unique with the haze and beautiful shimmer will be stunning ? Thankyou so much for showing us different techniques it's fascinating to see how the paints and pigments and house paint react !! 👍♥️🙏
