Is anyone here because of COVID and now that they are finally going back to school you forget your lock combo? Just me? Okay..

Well, after trying and trying it looks as though I'll have to stick to armed robbery.

It actually worked! Crazy thing was when I saw where I heard the clicks, I remembered the combination! My lock has been stuck for almost 3 years now... NOT ANYMORE!!

I've been trying to unlock my lock for the past hour. I'm pretty sure that I've got the first number down, however it's SO HARD to use the correct amount of pressure for the second number. I get something different every time. It's so frustrating to see everyone else in the comment section get it so easily, I think I'll just give up. Props to you Bobby, for being so good at this.

This particular lock is an exact replica of the one I got. I cannot thank you enough for uploading this video. You not only saved a 4.00 lock but my little girl can now play with her toys again without me having to bring out the grinder to cut it off. It took me 20 mins of sheer focus to get the tension right but it worked. Thank you again kind stranger.

It worked! I forgot my gym lock combo because of the lockdowns, and I was able to get it back open 😄

This is the 3rd video i watched and i got my lock opened within 5 minutes. You explain it very well and this should be the only lock opening video on because the rest ive watched are useless.

I found the first number pretty easily, but struggled with finding the second number. Because I had the first number I was able to brute force through the rest though. Thank you for the video, it is much appreciated :)

The method almost worked had to brute force it... Found the lock so I had no idea what the combo was and decided to give it a try after seeing your video. I found the first number real quick, that hooked me into getting the full combo. My issue was with the second number, I couldn't seem to get the correct tension on the shackle. The combo dial would either lock solid or continue turning, it left me confused since I had many choices but none of them worked, my choices were where I felt a click in the lock but it kept moving. So since I knew the first number I guessed at the second number starting at 39, turned the dial right one number at a time and pulled up on the shackle. Then repeated using 38,..., as the second number. Until I found what I thought was the combo, 0-25-5 But on further testing I had to change the second number to 24. Thanks

Worked like a charm. Took maybe 20 minutes of trial and error on an old lock I found in a box. Perfect for my storage locker.

Wow! I have a set of lock picks and was working my way through the belts a few years ago but haven’t picked it up in two years. I found my lock from high school today and didn’t remember my combination so of course I had to come to KZfaq. It took me a couple of tries (reached the point of frustration) BUT I was able to get it! I figured out the combination and saved to my notes. Glad I didn’t have to throw out the lock. Hokey stuff like this usually never works for me, BUT THIS WORKED!! It takes a couple minutes to get the feel of the lock/know what you're feeling for, but as soon as you know it, it's a piece of cake! Took me about 5 minutes, thank you good sir!!

Thank you! I have a Dudley version of this lock and this was the only video that helped me and it worked after about 30 minutes of trying. For anyone out there struggling: the first number should be easy to get. If you're not sure what the second number is, write down all the numbers you think it could be (for me I had 4 possible contenders) and then write down all the possible 3rd numbers from that (I had four lists of numbers to which I did minus 2, minus 4, minus 4 and so on just like the video says). Yes, it takes a while but if you can't find the perfect tension to get the 2nd number power through, do this extra bit of work and you'll get there. Good luck!

I have a cheap generic lock that looks somewhat similar to the Master and tried the Lockpickinglawyer's technique on my specific lock but it didn't work. Yours did!!! Even though mine isn't a Master lock. I think your explanation of the technique was clearer than his too. Thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you for enabling me to figure something out to open my dial masterlock. While I am not sensitive enough to find the second number via the method you show, watching this video and trying maybe 20 times lead to the conclusion of a definite first number. From there you taught me the mechanics of the lock in how once you find the second number; all you have to do is go around each one in the correct rotation until it pops open. Knowing this, I decided to just try all 40 numbers while listening to Megadeth to pass the time easier. I was fortunate in it being a very rapid number I got to, and it popped open easily all 10 times I tried it. So, again, thank you for posting this video and video number 20 I do believe.

Wow this was amazing thanks! It worked! I saw some other videos that suggested different versions of this method. This was much clearer because you explain how you're exactly supposed the change pressure on the shackle.

Literally you are amazing! I forgot my lock on my old work lock I had and wanted to use it again but couldn’t remember my lock code... after watching another video before yours a couple times.. I couldn’t get it but then yours was recommended next so I watched it, replayed it a couple times and followed the exact instructions... Heard a click at 28 so I added 5 to that which was 33... then I pulled up pretty hard (had to be the exact right tension & this took a few tries) and I spun it clockwise as it was clicking every 3-4 numbers till it completely stopped wanting to click. For me I noticed some give to it still but there was a lot of tension around that second number.., it’s about every 3-4 numbers the click would happen and for me, for that 2nd number..... the tension/click happened INBETWEEN those 3-4 numbers so I knew that was my 2nd number & for the last one I kinda just remembered the number lol 😂 but it was 4 numbers counter clockwise from that 2nd number ... I pulled and shouted “YAY! I GOT IT!” and threw my hands in the air lol 😂 🙌🏼 My cat legit stared at me with crazy eyes like “lady, wtf was that for?!” Just got super excited is all, no biggie 😏🥳😁 A big big thanks to you & the thorough explanation 🙏🏼 YOU ROCK!

This is the one that just worked for me. Had tried for about 2 hrs and watched 4 videos, but the difference here was the light tension instead of medium-heavy tension to start it off. Just got my 2 locks back from 7 years ago. Many thanks!

The combination was 6-32-18 in the last video. You can't have a masterlock combination that has both odd and even numbers. It's one or the other. The locks allow for some wiggle room which is why you can open them with a digit off from the right number.

This works great, after watching this video I bought a new master lock and in 15 minutes I had I open. Great step by step instructions.

On both of my locks when finding the second number it seemed that it was 5 less than where the dial would stop.

This worked like a champ--my daughter had a lock in her drawer and could not remember the combo--all the numbers she had thought they were were totally off. But I followed the instructions--somewhat doubtful as I figured it should have had at least one number she remembered-but in the end it worked and we now have a working lock again!

This was the technique that worked for me. I’m not sure why other videos explaining how to crack the lock are so convoluted and unclear. I opened my old high school lock before the video was even over.
