How to repair Computer Power Supply Troubleshooting Repair Tips
i explained practical How to repair computer ATX switch mode power supply SMPS very easy. this PSU is using SDC2921 IC which is PWM and intelligent power supply monitor. i shared my easiest and perfect troubleshooting techniques practical troubleshooting. smps concept and troubleshooting repairing or understanding repair switching mode power supply basics and working principle. how to troubleshoot input electromagnet induction filter, EMI, bridge rectifier and capacitor. we get 330 VDC at main capacitor. after hat the +330 volts are applied to standby power, which is SMPS and makes +5V SB, these stand by voltage are applied to motherboard which pull down the PS ON green wire to zero level, so the ENABLE OR REMOTE ON or CONTROL pin of #smps will go low that will enable pulse width modulation. and also i discussed smps basics. after watching this video you can capable to:-

sir app ka circuit explanation is so good, main transformer ka secondary winding main 3v,5v 12v k lie doo(2) doo(2) lead or ek(1) centretap nikla hai . 3v ka doo(2) lead ka sath 5v,or 12v ka doo(2) lead continuty show kar raha hai. Es situation main mera main transformer OK or BAD ?

thanks my dear. transformer ki all leads continuity show karti hein. q k sabhi windings ka dead-point aik he. i mean dead-point ya common is same transformer is good. most of time the transformer does not fail. if it is fail, that time it is will burnout or core will break

Sir, I have a computer power supply (SMPS) stand-by voltage is coming but when I switch on the power supply cooling fan moves for a second and then power supply goes off. I checked primary section is okay but I couldn't find the issue in secondary section. please guide me in this regards. Thanks and regards..

basically these power supplies in our appliances can operate at wide range of electrical voltage suppose in routine 85-265 VAC. so these is no need for further protection. most of the time these get damage from noises (sudden electrical spikes) so putting a series lamp cannot prevent, as it is a passive load. the built in filter circuit is active filter but some noises exceed from their capability then the failure occur if you have more voltage than 220V and it is permanent then you can use a series lamp

Aslam Alaikum most of your attention is on hot side and up to powercapster please even a normal mechanic can check it easily most of the problems are IC is working or not and FET is working or not output section has more error please pay more attention here

PQ series to baney huey transformer ki hoti he. aap ke pass core ka number he to btaa dein. mere liey easy ho jaaey ga.

Purple wire per 5v hai lekin green wire per 3v hai out put 12,5,3 v up down hone ke bad 0v ho jata hai

that means the power supervisor ic is facing something and detecting problem in output section. check rectifier and capacitors in output section
