About time I got new pants!!!
I wasn't actually planning to shoot a video today. I just went for a day hike around Upper Kananaskis Lake to try out my new daypack and hiking pants from decathlon before the backpacking season kicks off in the rockies.
I was so impressed with the MH 500 pants I thought I would share it with the world!!!! - or at least 800 random folks on the internet.

My favorite hiking pants here in the French Alps for years ! And my girlfriend says it makes my butt look great too 😂 Thank you for your videos !

I've just finished a 340 km hike in the shorts version of those pants. They behave excellent, and dried really quickly. I would surely go for a full version, now that I know it exists 😅

Perfect timing. And sizing. You wear the same size I do and I'm looking for a pair since I've outgrown my current pant as I age.👍

I’m not sure this “aging” thing is for me, I’m trying to find a way around it… A friend of mine bought the MT 500s and really likes them too.

Made it out to the Point I see? lol. Thanks for the video. I have been rocking the MEC Mica pants. I also like these pants. I do wish the MEC pants had zippered pockets.

Yeah! I like to get a loop around the lake early every spring. I find it gives me a good feel for the conditions in the park before the highway opens up…and it’s a beautiful hike. I usually shy away from zippers…but there ones are really well thought out.

I wear zip off cargos from Costco. Lots of pockets, stretchy, breathable and a built-in belt

Nice! I tried the zip off thing and the zipper bothered me…but the Tilley pants I picked up there are really good too.

I've been wearing the Costco pants too and they've been great but I've recently been thinking that there are too many pocket flaps and extra things on them. The Decathlon pants are a good enough price that I might try them! I have their down MT500 puffy jacket and really like it. I might turn into a Decathlon evangelist.
