Either slow down the feeder all or put them in one at a time. It goes down to about 50% duty cycle every time bogs and has to back up. Other than that it's incredibly powerful

+Joe Skittino I was thinking that too, but the chute output stayed steady.

+Joe Skittino but think about it 50% of 2 logs is the same as 100% at 1 log at a time so no worse off

I will bet you can run two single trees through that chipper faster than you run two the same time.

It sucks once you've bought your 550HP shredder only to realise that it would have been worth that extra $150 for the 600HP version.

Ongoing isue with these chippers. It needs a smarter feed system to stop the rewind and slow the feed to match the grinding wheel.

That is true. if they are using that to make OSB boards that stuff burns really well but much faster then actual logs. It would make a nice bon fire though! ;)

I would have made a lot of firewood logs out of those. What happens to the woodchips after, do they go to a biomass power station?

I think feeding it too much at a time is less efficient and slows it down a bit. But I have no experience in this job, so I could be wrong.

Why not let the wood finish chipping that's in there before you stick more in?I'd rather see a continuous slow run rather then stop start stop start stop start stop start.

Wouldn't it be better to grab the logs past center a bit so the part you feed in would be lower than the grabber so it would be easier to start the feed. I rarely see an operator grab the logs and try to feed the high side in.

You can run 3 logs faster one at a time than you can run two logs at the same time. I Don't understand why he keeps sticking more than two logs in ?

Gets the job done I guess, but this has left me with an empty satisfaction, especially that bogging. Looking at the discharge tube size, one should expected such results. I reckon different approaches of engineering could bring better results with similar power levels. Satisfying machine = one that does not bog down, no matter how much you try to make it haha~! #LustForDestruction

hate these amateur Noobs at loading a machine of this complexity... Once the piece is in the "roller" DO NOT MESS WITH IT!!! The machine struggles with itself, much less trying to deal with the operator Forcing stuff down it's throat...

Obviously the motor is way to small for the job, PLUS the operator is way over stuffing the machine. It's like cramming TWO cheese burgers in you mouth at one time, try chewing on that.

its difficult to judge,, there are many variables to consider why it dont work as good as it might if say the knifes was sharper and the feed belt was better adjusted and so on. But i noticed at say 12:30 with a single log it worked properly almost without stops.
