Our family lives right around the corner and we decided to check this one out. It is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with a cuarto de servicio (maid's room), patio, spacious kitchen, and gated community. I have a an apartment in Santo Domingo National District. 6th floor, 24/7 security, underground parking, 1BR, 2BA, Washer dryer, 2 AC units, Nice kitchen, Refrigerator, Nice wrap around balcony, Gym, rooftop pool, 2 year old building. $850 USD. It would easily be $2,500 - $3,000 in Northern VA, where I am from.

It's a very modern apartment. I like it a lot. My only hesitation would be renting a ground floor apartment with no bars on the windows and patio areas for enhanced security.

for the Dominican Republic and the size i find it expensive. but it is probably an area for high middle class or travelers.

Hi Mills! I happen to own a couple of apartments in Punta Cana area. One observation: the nice wooden bedroom closets in this apartment may be optional. Where I bought mine, there was an upgrade fee for them and other things. This unit you showed could be a demo unit that probably most people don’t opt for all of the upgrades in it, but it looks beautiful.

I’ve seen many apartments in Santiago. That’s the price for those apartments as shown in the video with all the upgrades. Punta Cana is a different story.

Honestly speaking! I’m not Dominican but my wife is from Santiago and $550 even $570 might have been a lot maybe a few years ago but things went up over the years price wise for apartamentos y casas but for a 3bedroom in the Bahamas where I’m from we would end up paying anywhere from $1,500 to 3,000 or more so for me spending $570 a month is a great bargain for me! I’m here in Santiago now for the holidays and I want to upgrade from our 2bedroom apt too a 3 bedroom so that’s something I would consider

wow that’s very expensive! i don’t know about pricing in bahamas so that’s very interesting. it’s definitely way cheaper than in Phoenix too lol. $550-600 would be a steal for us.

550 Sounds affordable but for you can find apartments in Santo Domingo Este for 350.

You can but they won’t look anywhere near as this nice. A place this pretty in Santo Domingo at minimum is starting out around $800-1k for 3 bed room. Santiago definitely has nicer apartments for cheaper value

that is an awesome price for a SPANKING BRAND NEW, NEVER-LIVED-IN apt. with 3 bdrs. 2.5 bth rms!!!! I am fron the east coast USA and THAT type of get up [even though the frdge and stove in there -- NOT microwave/dishwasher/washer-dryer] would cost $6,000 or more per month + plus pay the Internet/cable/phone/electric/cooking&heating gas/water bills. That's a whoping $8k a month just for the place here -- no security, this, that all what you're getting here [but the East coast is safe anyway]. However, my feeling for that 3 bdrs, 2 BTHS... id GO FOR IT! [i've never been to the DR though]

It's certainly a nice apartment, a lot of great features. It may not be my first choice, but I see no reason not to live there. It's possible that perhaps for Dominicans standards the price is likely above average, but for those who come from the states with a high cost of living, $550 is definitely a steal. An apartment like that lets say in NYC or Miami, the comparative rental rates would range anywhere from a minimum of $2000 even as high as $3000 per month depending on the location.

i agree with you! i would say it can definitely be out of budget for many locals, but a deal for others. like chris family’s house that’s 650 is such a steal! miami id super expensive. we pay 2300 for a 3 bed here.

@@MillsRepDom -Wow $2,300 is really a good deal for a 3/2 in today's standards but still high for many. Nevertheless, this explains why so many expats are moving to places like the DR. They can work remotely, earn a decent income, and live in a place with a low cost of living. It can't get any better than that. In Miami a 3/2 in a decent working-class neighborhood starts around $3,000

How many square meters is the apartment? Or Square feet? Does it include 24 hour security? Does the apartment have an electric generator for the whole building or only common areas in the event the lights go out? How often do the lights go out in this area?

24/7 security and then the closed gate with fob access. good question about the generator, i would assume that there is no generator unless you add your own but would need to ask about that. honestly though the lights don’t go out too often in this area. when i was living there it was only maybe once a week for a couple of hours.

Nice video. I know that area very well, and it's a really good area in Santiago, and lhe price is reasonable for that type of apartment. Also, I noticed that you guy's where still wearing mask. I was just curious about that. I was in Santiago in July of 22, and most folks were not wearing any mask, but I do understand that wearing one is an individual choice. I was just curios.

I lived in San Isidro, DR for $215 doll. So to me it’s over priced. I lived in a residential apartment complex, 24 hr power and water.

I simply love it and I am ready to pay it! I do not see the number listed and can’t find the number in google. Bags almost finished being packed but I only did to find apartment to rent and this one looks like it is it? I will be waiting. Thank you! I have been searching for about 3 hours now or are these apartments no longer available for rent? Everything in that area that I saw online is for sale.

Maybe it's just me... Seeing it from the point of view of a person whonis 6 feet tall: the toilet in the hall bath is entirely too close to the shower glass... Needs more leg room.
