Shelee Art

4 жыл бұрын

Two talking videos in 2 days! Look out KZfaqrs! ha ha! So, I'm still on the fence as to whether I like this pour but I popped the resin on and thought you guys can decide (Please be kind or better yet, constructive in your critiques if you are going to comment) . I do think I know which side of the fence I'm leaning. I nearly didn't post it but I thought even if the pour wasn't a success in my eyes, I wanted you guys to see that fluid art doesn't always go to plan and I think thats important to remember but I also think thats why we all love it. And I think there are many other take homes from the other parts of the video. I explain the difference between my Shelee art blooms, messy pour and trailblazer. The colours are the same as my carnival palette so I'll pop them below.
The Colours-
Golden Fluid - Teal
ColourArte - Primary Elements - Key Lime
ColourArte - Bling it - Interference gold
Mattisse - Cadmium Orange
Mattisse - Magenta
My Special Blue
If you love my acrylic fluid art blooms, you can learn how to create them by joining my E-Course. You can use code SA15YT for 15% Off. In the course you will learn my recipes and get access to the sheleeart facebook worldwide community. You can sign up over at www.sheleeart.com.au

I really appreciate when experienced artists show that paint pouring has it's challenges!! That style of pouring actually looks fun and paint pouring is messy. I have seen some pours saved with a small pour done in an area they didn't like or with additional interest added during the resin stage! I hope you find a way to make this something you love!! 🤗😍💙💚❤💖

I happen to like it......I think we all equate cells and lacing with success, but you did not make it muddy...and THAT is a major WIN as far as I am concerned. I would be interested to see another one of these with the Green, Teal and Gold and maybe a little accent color. You did good - keep pushing the art envelope - you are more than just Shelee-Cells!

I think it's great! But you have to be happy with what you do. You could always re-pour over the dry resin right? My favorite was the green bit, one direction looked like leaves, another direction a court jesters hat. I Loved that you've named your pet fly! 💕💖💕
@Sheleeart
@Sheleeart 4 жыл бұрын
Julia, yes ‘louie’ is a slang term for flies in Australia. Ha ha we aussies are strange bunch aren’t we?! There was a cartoon character and jingle made for a bug spray in the 50’s they’ve reinvented louie over the years. But always kept his name. So if you want a bit of back story just youtube Louie the fly..😀

It definitely is not your typical painting, the colors are interesting together. To me as you were applying the paint the Magenta looked much thinner than the rest of the paints. Since I was not physically there I can really say that for a fact. I am glad that you did not scrape it. It is lovely with the resin on it. You nailed it.

Pastor Janyce Jackson Jones her special color is what causes the webbing. She doesn’t share it, she sells it. Go watch Tammy Anderson, or another bloom recipie. Good luck😊

Pastor Janyce Jackson Jones maybe you could look on her secret FB page. Most people are using paint and floetrol for the cell activator. Some add wood conditioner to the floetrol. Or, use Australian floetrol. I hope this helps😊

"otherwise depression can sink in" I feel this so much whenever I get a shitty pour. But OH YES, please show us fails too, because it shows that it happens to everyone else too. Would appreciate if you could cover some common problems. I'm getting paint splitting a lot.. almost during tilt, colours just come apart in bits and look real ugly
@Sheleeart
@Sheleeart 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Faela, yes I think it’s important to show the ups and downs of acrylic pouring and like I said in the description there are other takeaways besides the art in this video and it would be a shame not to share those because the art was not my favourite.

I'm getting splitting too - I'm trying to figure out why
@minawallis
@minawallis 4 жыл бұрын
I’m getting split colors, cracking when the painting is drying and also loosing my cells when stretching, I thing is just a matter of adjusting ratios and practice, if the colors are too thin they tend to separate, and if my pillow paint is too thick or plenty make my colors separate.
@MegaSDolan

Oh, I stopped counting the outcomes that were not what I wanted or hoped for. Instead, I'm learning to look for the possibilities in the unexpected. I'm not saying it's easy, but the more I step back & think "now, what if" or "what's missing" or "how about from this angle" or "a 2nd pour on top" ..."what else is possible here? " I know you can turn an unexpected outcome into something you hadn't even thought of yet! Why does a different outcome have to be a fail? Is it because we say it will be "this", but instead "that" happens, & that makes us look like we aren't as skilled as we seem? Ridiculous! Why can we just say, "we're going for this look, but knowing the properties of fluid art, we'll do our best & work with whatever happens.!" That's the fun of the painting right? The outcome was a hit! I loved it!
