Working w Joshua was a real highlight of my time in music. And the few days I was there during the recording of delilah blue were amazing to watch. I distinctly remember talking to you and telling you how much it meant to me that you were there, Lee. And hearing you say Joe Hardy’s name - he was one of my best mates. So sad he’s gone. Glad you mentioned him.

I had forgotten about Joshua K (shame on me).Thanks for the friendly reminder. Very, very nice - the singing, the playing, and the storytelling. Elton’s an obvious one throughout, but I was getting a smidge of Rickie Lee on Delilah, as well. Don’t know why. As usual, Baird kicked 100% of my ass. What a great player. Hope everyone’s well.

Thank you for another awesome chapter in music appreciation 101! I hope all is going well, Lee. So looking forward to the livestream on Tuesday! ps. The chair must never be de-squeaked! :)

He gave you the space and you brilliantly occupied it, fortifying each track with as layered, or as simple, as required. I get the Buckmaster reference, as his orchestrations (and Gus Dudgeon’s) propelled Elton’s productions to inherit the crown from George Martin’s foundational work.

Joshua Kadison is an incredible storyteller and musician. Great voice and pianoplay. I have been a huge fan since Jessie. I got the chance to meet Joshua in person back in 1994 when he was in the Netherlands for a tv performance. And then a year later - it was September 1995 - I got the chance to be there at the promotion concert of Delilah Blue in Germany. Amazing, I will never forget ❤️❤️ And thank you so much for highlighting Joshua's work this way, Leland. Much appreciated 👌 I think a lot of people have no idea how amazing he is. And nice to hear someone talk about Joshua's amazing gift who has been part of the fantastic band that accompanied Joshua on his 2nd album. ❤️❤️
@Mark_Brooks

Joshua has the gift. You can't teach much of what he does, the feeling, the strength. He's a great singer. Edit: A little Jonny Lang vibe going on too. It's great to watch your face, Lee as the song plays. You are instantly transported back to the times you had in the studio. The collaboration, the hang, being with the musicians. It is such a rich tableau.

The last line of "Just Like Bridget Bardot" is a mind blower on its own; "Nefertiti came out west in a stolen limousine" .. Brilliant lyrics. On level with Warren Zevon also, Graham Parker, who I think is an under-appreciated word/songsmith!! Being a lyric fanatic who leaves it mostly to others to write them, I just LOVE Joshua's work!! Songs that tell great stories and they are mesmerizing!! The melodies, choruses, production, band! .. All great! .. Love these tracks! Intense .. The Pearl .. just chilling. whew. Thank you for the visit into the world of another great!!! 🎶🐕🐕🎶
