As a little kid I fell in love with movies and stories like the Thief of Baghdad, Sinbad, Arabian Nights, etc. I've always had a strong attraction to the beauty and mystery in this music. I listen to this music whilst shower meditating and it helps clear my mind. I haven’t had contact with my sons for over a year and this music helps me to think of the day I will see them again. I was born in Baghdad and moved away at the age of 7. Growing up in America was somewhat fun and had a bright side of things but I do always miss that beautiful mythical mysterious side of the middle east. Sinbad, Alladin, and One Thousand and One Nights, "Shahrazad". The culture is stunning, and it just gives me goosebumps in a good way. Too bad I didn't grow up there, sometimes I feel like I have a missing puzzle piece. Although I'm extremely happy that I can relate when watching those Arab movies/ cartoons :)
