Bent alongside Defoe are defo two of the most underrated prem strikers ever thinking back they were acc quality man so consistent as well. I always say Drogba is the scariest striker in terms of who I've feared the most as a United fan in a single season when he went ham in 09-10 season but for Bent to score 24 goals in that Sunderland team is a ridiculous feat too fair play to him.

@@BrenzOTnT exactly why he gets the level of adoration he gets. He disappeared as quickly as he came on the scene. He was a one season wonder for the most part. Pretty average at the top level for the rest of his career and above average in the championship since that season. I don't know how much more ratings he should get. He's on the same level as Michael Ricketts...one season wonders

Darren bent was flying at villa before his serious injury he was starting the majority of games for England where he had finally established himself shame they never asked about that injury derailing his career. Sometimes the presenters should really investigate a players career and do better research to ask questions based on that research

23:15 Theres a reason a certain CB was being touted as the "best ever" in an era when there is barely any elite number 9s. The moment just a few in Mitrovic, Haaland, Toney, Kane happen to start playing, that certain CB gets completely exposed. Bent not being in the 2006 world cup squad was an ABSOLUTE CRIME!!! They took Walcott instead. Us in the black community think that England will not accept a black player scoring the goals and being the poster boy as a result.

As much as I respect Rio for what he did for Utd, there’s giving credit to a rival where it’s due but going over the top with Pep on the sidelines vs Madrid and the disrespect towards greater managers on BT was nothing short of a City lovin’… wouldn’t have been surprised if he was at the parade with the other 10 City fans! 🤷🏻‍♂️ Come on Rio, show and back Utd to the hilt, start talking ownership and what side you’re on etc, that’s what a true Red (as you said you was) is doing.

You really misinterpreted what he said VERY BADLY. Bent mentioned that criticism from fans can include racism and Ste said (if you listened carefully), “ain’t it mad that you go ‘you get your standard racism, so it’s already there but don’t worry about that” and he was referring at how as part of getting criticism from fans it’s very common to get racist abuse and it’s so easily mentioned by Darren Bent like it’s nothing when of course it’s a big deal. Ste wasn’t being disrespectful he was saying how crazy it is for an ex pro to say “yeah you get your racism” like it’s a common nothing insult when obviously it’s a big deal.
