The herb infused water spray seemed interesting. I mean that is the most jerry rigged "still" for steam distillation I have ever seen and I cant imagine that you collect enough essential oil to make it worth doing. Especially with no way to control where the condensation falls meaning some of it wont even be collected. However it does in theory seem to follow the premise of distillation method of obtaining essential oils from plants. I would try it as a science experiment with my kids while we are home from school. If it works then they made essential oils which they will love even if they dont mix in to the misting spray if it doesnt then we can make it a teachable moment about what went wrong and how can improve the process to generate yield. The doodling on our pants however you can keep lol
