I must say, your "5POA" recipe and versus video format is probably one of my favorite toy review channels on KZfaq. The consistent look and style of your videos is really impressive 👏. I enjoy how structured your reviews are and that really helps me to not only appreciate the figures more, but the straightforward presentation and head-to-head comparisons make it easy to identify the pros and cons. The McFarlane Nightwing figure from their first wave is my favorite Nightwing figure of all time. The body proportions, the hair, even the face sculpt as far as likeness goes. My only real problem with it is the expression. I hate how glum he looks. I hope someday we might get a retool of that head with a smirk, but even with a broody facial expression I still love the overall figure more than any other. I painted the mask black on mine, and I'm excited to get the new Titans Nightwing to swap the arms with so he can have the classic arm stripes.

If you swap out his ball wrist and ankle joints from another figute for the newer ones he'll be perfect.

Dick Greyson's always been a personal fave of mine and it's always good seeing more Nightwing figures in general; any Nightwing is good in my eyes. Gotta pick up Multiverse Nightwing when I have the chance - even the Revolver Joints in the ankles and wrists aren't distracting on this one IMO.

I used the Jokerized Nightwing body and the Gotham Knights' head and painted the neck for a custom New 52 Nightwing

I loved this version of Nightwing especially since it had the same vibe was the Robin suit from the Batman and Robin movie which is a lot better than the Brown with Red suit.

Ahhhhh happy 250! I'm pretty sure I've watched all of your stuuuuuff. (Some of the original videos are a little harder, quality and confidence makes a biiiiig difference)

@@5POAFigureReviews the only creator that does that for me is yahtzee kroshaw. The zero punctuation guy. He's been doing KZfaq till 2007 and they recently put that on psoitfy with little audio quality improvements and I can listen to those easily

I do have the New 52 DC Collectibles Nightwing in my collection and I'm very excited to get the new DC Multiverse Nightwing (sadly he will come without escrima sticks). I'm also planning to get the DC Essentials New 52 Nightwing in the future.

Aside from cost cutting, I have no idea unfortunately. But I am going with cost cutting. The ironic part is his box art and reading card are the same pic of him holding the sticks from the original Build a Batmobile wave.

Thanks! Few places. Depending on the item, I preorder from BBTS, Pulse, McFarlane Toys Store, and Amazon, sometimes GameStop. But overall, I prefer to find things in-store. I also go to a lot of cons and toy shows, where you can usually get some good deals if you are willing to haggle.

I get the more articulation section, but why does the McFarlane figure win that category? It has the articulation but say for the “butterfly joint” it’s almost completely useless and the articulation looks the ugliest for that figure out of all them.

Hey Jacob, great question! I probably could have explained better, for sure. Of the four, I agree the McFarlane figure's articulation is the ugliest, but when grading poseability, I am more concerned the joints and their range, more than how they affect what the figure looks like. That falls under Presentation. In this case, the McFarlane was the only figure whose arms could even reach 90 degrees, and was even better. It was the only one whose arms could also move forward and back, and thanks to the diaphragm and dumbbell waist (which admittedly are hideous), it can tilt and twist in ways a simple ab crunch and waist swivel cannot -- despite the ab crunch getting a better bend. Also, as much as I hate the wrist balls, they do allow for better movement than swivel hinge wrists. The toe-ticulation also adds something. It was down between McFarlane and Essentials, which greatly benefits from thigh cut, but that was the only demonstrably better but if engineering. I hope that helps!

The DCC Designer Series figures are the best in the video. At that time DCC had very good quality in sculpting and painting, the material was also good. Then they will get problems and cancel figures and lines. At the end they released (for me and I know it is an unpopular opinion) their best line: dc Icons. But the scale was not accepted. When they wanted to fix it with the dc essentials they did it wrong: bad proportions, characters already seen over and over again, lack of accessories. Mcfarlane has a big problem, he is inconsistent with the scales and the proportions are horrible. It has some good figures and some very bad ones, although it still needs to release more female figures.

At the time I was one of the ones who rejected Icons because of the scale, but in hindsight I appreciate how great they were. I have a huge soft spot for the Capullo line. Personal preference, that one is my fav Nightwing figure in my collection for sure.

Mentioning the art, all the suits minus McFarlane are comic are accurate. He started off with the “Essentials” one during the court of owls, than gets the “Capullo” one he gets after Issue Zero and the “New 52” he gets when he moves to Chicago till he becomes Agent 37. In total nightwing had 3 looks but I guess some comic artist didn’t know or care and usually. Sadly, stick to one of the first two but admittedly the Chicago suit is one of my favorites. The McFarlane funny enough had they not painted the legs could’ve been more accurate to the first appearance but the bird head doesn’t match. I ended up just doing an arm swap with McF flashpoint Batman and repainted the McF nightwing to look like his Chicago outfit since he has the sculpted lines on the waist and neck to resemble it funny enough. Wonder if it was intentional.

The multiverse Batgirl is the best, but wouldn't mind a headswap. The unarmored Batman I feel is the best looking. Just needs the yellow oval logo rather than the plain bat. NO NIGHTWING HEAD SWAPS?!?!?! Was hoping to see the smirking head on Capullo body (if it fit)

I must tell you that if you're to get the beast boy wave nightwing be waned he doesn't come with escrima sticks and an interchangeable hands only the baf piece despite his design being cool and all so it is up to you on that but I am still waiting for your review of batman hush blue/gray, catwoman knightfall, mister freeze and the joker as well as earth-II thomas wayne batman too.

The DCUC figure is based on his Red Devil costume from issues 113-116 of the 90s Nightwing comic before the New 52 relaunch, so I didn't consider it as it was not from the New 52 era. Also, as a 6", it was out of scale with the rest of the figures, so it just seemed best all around not to include him. That said, I'm fairly sure it is the only figure based on that design, so it is pretty special.

I will not be getting the newer blue and black Nightwing (titans baf wave). I dont like anything about him. All of the older ones are better including the jokerized version

The new mcfarlane Titan’s nightwing is so ugly dude. That face sculpt is just not it. No sticks or accessories. Mcfarlane has been dropping the ball. Switching to mafex and their nightwing looks AMAZINNNGG
