ASU ,with the W. The last two arrangements did it for me. I'm shocked they have came a long way in a short time. Clean great chord structure arrangements nice. JSU surprised me

J STATE that arrangement of "Keep Watching" is before the University was a beast. I know it was homecoming but the entire band had to play light to hear the melody.

ASU band director's won this on song selection alone and their woodwinds took it over the top with the lead in Rain. I'm impressed that ASU finally has a real sound!!! JSU needs to go back to their roots and stop trying to sound like SU!!! That overblowing brass is not a good sound!!!

Prime example of power doesn't always win the battle. ASU song book, execution and dynamics are flawless. You can put them up against any band in the SWAC and they can hold their own. ASU with the W

ASU got this hands down. I think from the angle of the camera, you couldn't really tell what JSU was playing.

A rule of thumb for watching anyones footage on the web is to grab a good pair of headphones, adjust the volume accordingly and enjoy the footage 👍🏾.

I don't think it was the camera angle either..... the cam was reasonably centered in that end zone. ANY acoustic loss from the boom would have been replicated on MMH's side too.the Boom was simply unbalanced. No need for verbal gymnastics.

Nah, maybe sometime in the next few games. The camera I used for that got damaged in the spring. I did buy a gimbal, but lost the mount 🤷🏾♂️. On another note, I found that when I was doing March In footage people weren’t watching the footage, so there isn’t as big of a rush to replace the equipment. 🤷🏾♂️

After rewatching this I have to give ASU the edge. From the bal ance, dynamics, versatility, clarity, and arrangements ASU was the better unit. More together and given they size they still had power. JSU was their worst enemy this day. If the lower brass would have backed off a little bit, and less focus on trying to out crank the opposition they could have taken this. The last two pieces were good but the trumpets and mellophones were drowned out on some pieces.

JSU needs better execution on some of the songs. The last 2 songs they played was better than those first 2. ASU had a better playlist and executed better. The tubas even sound better than JSU.

Hopefully y'all song selections are better than those drum remixes of pounding the bass drums and the rest of the band singing and dancing along with the J-Settes!!!
