Valley was koo. Had a lot of good moments, especially earlier on. But JSU didn't miss one single round. These past 5-7 years, JSU has upgraded their formula and it's working well!!! Very consistent sound and energy. Their drums always puts them over the top for me. Shout out to instructors over the line. JSU for the dub. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️

Valley is far from terrible….just young. That’s a ALL freshman and sophomore band. Let bonds get there graduating classes in to cement his style/sound. And it’s gonna be another deadly band. PSA when bonds came out with dega in 2014 people said they was Su clone now valley is apparently dega clone. Gives these kids their props and put your personal vendetta against bonds away. This man is a great director

All this Valley hate is unreal. I have no dog in this fight. I love JSU always have. I have to give Valley props they held their own. Jackson was not as loud as Valley as these JSU fans want to say but their arrangers is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Dont take this as me saying Valley got JSU. They are not to far off though. Their arrangers need to take a lesson from JSU.

Trust me as an SU alum, we don't have hate for JSU like yall at J-state perceive... We actually for years enjoy our battles the most. But TBH this year's JSU band is the best sounding, best arrangements and best song selecting I have heard from Jackson, EVER!!! Keep it up, we from the Bluff love it... Just be ready for Nov. 12.... as much as i dont enjoy sayin, Jsu took the W at boombox earlier this year...

valley does sound better than they use to but towards the middle of battle they started slide back down the hill. Also, a lot of the kids were forcing themselves to try to hit notes that were beyond the range that they were good at. It’s never good when you try to scream and can’t just play what you can and practice. Also , when jsu picks music they think about the schools band and try to make the playing field even but will still show that they can beat ya down. This is why each battle sound different you want to go for the kill with band su but with other you pull back a bit. THEE I LOVE🐅

This battle perplexed me. The BOOM got the clear win but not by much. It took valley a few song but they got in their groove and started playing music. JSU’s sound quality and arrangements are too tier but I thought they would come waaaaaaay harder compared to every other game this season. STILL they got the clear victory here but I am not displeased with Valley at all!!!!! Some seasoning and polishing is needed but nothing to hang their heads about. This is a proud moment. And a good battle.
